Tobacco Barn

The Tobacco Barn is a light & airy conversion which comfortably sleeps 6. There's a private garden, swimming pool & terrace. A kitchen/diner looks out onto the garden and al fresco dining area. The large master bedroom has an en-suite-bath & over-sized shower. Two bedrooms upstairs are served by a bathroom. The mezzanine and beamed lounge has comfy sofas. We do not accept any visitors under 18. The space Originally used for drying tobacco until the mid-1950's, Tobacco Barn is a light and spacious barn conversion, which comfortably sleeps 6. There is a private garden and a huge hanger over a patio and entertaining area. You also have your own entrance to the swimming pool and terrace. With it’s exposed stone walls and oak beams, Tobacco Barn is simply full of character and with a really friendly feel. There is gated access to the Barn's grounds, allocated car parking and a short wander through a garden gate to the entrance of this lovely conversion. Downstairs you will find a large kitchen/diner, an eclectic mix of crockery, lots of pots and pans and a dining table to seat 8 people. The kitchen has a large gas oven and hob, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a fridge freezer. There is a Bluetooth sound bar to play your favourite music whilst you cook the dinner, as well as a good selection of books for if you fancy a read. The kitchen/diner is open plan and looks out through the vast French doors into the garden. There is large master bedroom downstairs with oak furniture and it's own en-suite bathroom, complete with roll top bath and over-sized shower. Stairs from the kitchen/diner lead to the beautiful mezzanine lounge which comfortably seats 6 people with it’s plush sofas and board games. Mind your head on the low beams! There are two further bedrooms upstairs – both comfortable doubles. Both of these bedrooms are served by an additional bathroom with a loo, a small bath and a shower over. Outside Tobacco Barn there is a huge covered entertaining area – fabulous for an alfresco breakfast, an evening barbecue or to simply sit in the shade and enjoy the local wine. A BBQ and pizza oven are provided for your personal use during your stay. You have your own access to the pool and garden, which is shared with the Stonemason’s Barn. Spring and Summer are simply beautiful here, but Autumn is also awonderful time to visit the area and take advantage of the endless walking and cycling opportunities. The Tobacco Barn has full central heating and is available to rent all year, so you can enjoy cosy nights in after a day in the fresh air. All sockets are 2-pin EU, so you may need to bring adaptors if travelling from UK. A welcome basket of tea, coffee and essentials is provided for you on arrival, with our pleasure. Please note we are adult only, stricty over 18s only. Guest access The swimming pool and terrace are shared with guests from Stonemason's Barn, our other gite and (on occasion) ourselves. The pool closes at 19.00. Other things to note Please note: We only cater for adults, 18 years and over. Tobacco Barn is a 300 year old building. It isn't a modern, purpose built hotel, the walls in the Barn are stone and the beams are genuine, but it a beautiful, rustic, lovely and authentic building. Your comfort and well-being is our wish and we aim to deliver this with as many modern flairs as we can! Please remove all your rubbish and recycling from the Barn when you leave, using the bins outside the property for rubbish and the recycling bins in the centre of the village. You are not allowed to charge any electric vehicles using our site. I am happy to direct you to local charging points not far from our location. Thank you. We thank you in advance for stripping the beds and leaving all linens, towels, bedding etc on the ground floor near the door. Unfortunately we are not able to accept pets. Smoking is not permitted in any of the gites or grounds, nor around the pool and terrace. Please step outside the boundary if you wish to smoke. There is a 150 euro fine for each time a visitor is caught smoking within our boundary. Please leave our Barn as you found it in terms of cleanliness and tidiness. We greatly appreciate your respect.
