Description
Back to nature, “off grid” caravan on family run farm. Tranquil location in the South Lakes. Perfect for those seeking a 'no frills' break amongst farm animals, wild animals and woodland walks. The space A very unique caravan site in the Lakes providing a restful and relaxing stay without the hustle and bustle of many of the modern commercial site. There is 12v electric (supplied by a solar panel) for lighting and the water pump only. Sockets unusable. Gas supplied by cylinders next to the caravan is used for the gas fire, fridge, oven, stove and hot water. The toilet is a camping type which requires the cassette to be emptied in the septic tank a short walk from the caravan. This is the only short term rental plot on the site, remaining caravans are on long term plot rental and owned by families who have been coming for years. Guest access Turn into the bottom part of the site from the village road next to The Nook, travel steadily along the farm track being careful to close each of the 3 gates after you, to keep farm animals in. Continue up the hill after passing the first three caravans on the bottom part of the site. Continue and then bear left, your caravan is the first on the right. Other things to note An important note: To keep the cost of your stay to a minimum, we have decided not to provide bedding or towels. One dog will be allowed in the property but please keep it dry and off the furniture. Do not let the dog enter the bedrooms. No mains electric. The solar panel tops up batteries for lighting and hot water. Gas for fire, oven, stove and fridge. Camping toilet. There is no Wi-Fi and the phone signal is poor unless you are with Vodafone. This is a beautiful location, but please remember the caravan is ‘off grid’ and basic.
