The space Enjoy the full experience of Arromanches, Normandy, while staying in a beautiful beach-house located on the coast. Dating back to the 19th century, and entirely renovated in 2012, the house has an open-plan American-style kitchen that opens to a private terrace and balcony overlooking the sea. The beach is home to the artificial port Winston Churchill where vestiges still remain of the floating pontoons used in the débarquement. 5 bedrooms in total: Three master bedrooms, and two dormitory-style bedrooms, two bunk-beds sleep 4 children comfortably in each. Three showers, 4 toilets, a washing machine and dishwasher are all at your disposal. All rooms have views overlooking the sea. Directly overlooking the water, the beach is footsteps away, as is the notable Museum of the Débarquement and Cinema 360. The charming town of Arromanches counts among it's attractions many restaurants and boutiques. 11 kilometers away is the beautiful medieval town of Bayeux, home to the Cathedral which dates back to the 12th century, as well as the famous Tapestry of Bayeux, UNESCO site. 2h05 by train from Paris St Lazare, the trip from Bayeux to Arromanches (11 kms) can be made by car, taxi or Bus Vert.
