The space Specifically designed for holidaying guests, The Muckle Snug is all on one level, with its own private, enclosed garden, making it ideal for young families and guests with pets. Light and spacious, there are full-height windows to get the most of the stunning views: Traprain and Berwick Laws are visible across the fields, as is the Bass Rock. The main double bedroom has an ensuite toilet and shower, while the family bathroom (also with shower) can be closed off to make it an ensuite to the twin room. Both rooms have ample storage. The kitchen is well equipped, with dishwasher, oven and hob, fridge/freezer, and washer/dryer. For drier days there’s an outdoor whirligig. In the sitting area, there's a large screen TV and DVD player, radio and CD player. A heat pump keeps the property cosy and sustainable with plenty of hot water, while the log burning stove ensures the evenings are always cosy. There's also a fire pit alongside, where you can sit out and watch the stars or cook up a BBQ. The Muckle Snug is fully self-contained, with its own parking entrance and outdoor space. There's also secure bicycle storage, along with a wash area and workshop. Maps of local routes for walkers and cyclists show the diversity of options right on our doorstep. All utilities, linen and towels are included in the price, and all electricity comes from renewable sources; we work hard with an active environmental policy to ensure that your stay is as light on the planet as possible. Guest access The Muckle Snug offers perfect privacy - guests have exclusive use of the entire property, as well as the enclosed garden, perfect for pets and young children. Enjoy breakfast on the deck, or a cosy evening with BBQ or sat around the shared fire pit alongside. Other things to note Pets are very welcome but will incur a surcharge of £15. EV charging is available in the parking area at cost. Please advise if intending to use this facility. Rentonhall Farm, where The Muckle Snug is located, is no longer a working farm, but you'll see horses in the fields alongside, and our hens do like to wander around. There may therefore be the occasional whinny or cluck. Our resident buzzards, owls and woodpeckers may also make themselves known. Registration Details EL00023F
