Life by the water: The club pontoon, during the summer season, is perfect for launching and storing paddleboards or kayaks (up to 2 items, more space may be available on request). We can offer a temporary trot mooring, and tender storage in the toast rack, to cottage guests if you arrive by boat. You may wish to join them to watch the hotly contested racing from April – September on Wednesday and Friday evenings, Saturday afternoons and junior sailing is on Saturday mornings. Boats are always coming & going so there is always something to watch, it's a yachtie heaven in Devon! Guest access Please note there is no parking at the cottage - paid off street carpark is just 2 mins walk away, or free on street parking is often available five minutes’ walk away near the top of the hill on Beacon Road/Castle Hill and at other locations around Kingswear. The no-through-lane where the cottage is located – Priory Street – is used by guests for dropping-off luggage and items like paddleboards or kayaks. To access the cottage there is a step up to go through the blue entrance gate and into the passageway and a step down into the kitchen at the entrance to the cottage. There is a further step down to the living and dining room. The stairs to the first floor have a banister and the stairs to the second floor do not have a banister and the stairs open straight into the bedroom. Other things to note Our cottage will of course be clean and spotless before each arrival, and we will follow the guidance given by Airbnb about suitable sanitisation measures to help protect our guests. We will also ask guests to strip their own beds prior to leaving the cottage and remove all rubbish to the club bins. Dogs: Whilst we do allow dogs to stay in the cottage by prior arrangement, we must point out that they are not allowed in the clubhouse at any time. They are welcome on the club terrace provided they are kept on a lead and are well behaved. Pontoon access: Lifejackets or buoyancy aids should be worn at all times when accessing the club pontoon, this is mandatory for children. The pontoon is available from early April until late October.
