★Traditional Stone House - Courtyard

Restored traditional stonehouse in the village of Tzitzifes at the foothills of White Mountains, a place with rich flaura and natural landscape. The decoration was meant to retain the traditional elements of a Cretan house. The layout is ideal for families, a bedroom for the parents (double bed), and a bedroom for the kids (two single beds). About the courtyard: Spacious and private yard, with stone walls surrounding it. At the entrance a shed provides shade for those waiting impatiently for the fellow companions to get ready for the beach. A quite old well (locked by a small door to prevent small children from opening) is built in the side of the yard. The patio is stone-paved, and on the side, a small garden hosts a jujuber (the tree that gave its name to Tzitzifes), a mandarin tree, a lemon tree and a pomegranate. An umbrella provides shade to outdoor furniture that can gift you with moments of tranquility. If the weather is bad (kind of unusual) you can transfer the table on a small shedded area before the house entrance. The spacious private yard is ideal if you carry a pet with you, or you have kids who want to have some fun outdoors. A shower for a quick douche after the beach is also available. About the living room - kitchen: Venice architectural elements on the stone arches of the house can be found and is really amazing if someone thinks how back does this age goes. The living room is plain decorated but still cosy, and a sofa-bed can sleep one person. The kitchen is fully-equipped with respect to amenities and kitchenware, search through the pantries to find what you are looking for. Coffee making (espresso, filter coffee and greek roasted coffee) is possible. About the bedrooms: In the luxurious Double Bedroom, a huge rock is embedded into the room enchanting the scene (Tip: light candles up inside the rock's indentations). You can have a really calm nap in there. The rocks also provide a relatively narrow temperature range during the whole year. A small door inside the room can guide you to an indoors yard, which cools the room and makes it more airy. A good idea is to also dry your clothes there. The single bedroom has a closet, a lounge chair and a semi-double bed that can sleep one adult/2 children. Sheets, towels and blankets are of course available inside each room. About the bathroom: you can find basic amenities inside the bathroom and a new washing machine along with detergents. Sun heater provides warm water consistently during the summer, though during a cloudy day you can access an electrical heater through the main panel. Located in the village of Tzitzifes, it is exactly between Chania and Rethymno, and is ideal for those who want to explore the vast island of Creta (well just the counties of Chania and Rethymno for one summer...) or relax and enjoy the tranquility if the village. Guest access The house consists of two floors. This particular listing refers to the bottom floor, which also includes the courtyard. Access to the balcony is also allowed. *The house is either rented as single appartment (bottom floor) or as a whole depending on the number of people, but never two different guests can rent at the same time.
