Lovely comfortable home just 1/2 a block from Laurelhurst park & walking distance to bus lines, restaurants, markets, coffee shops, Belmont, Stark, Hawthorne, 28th, & 10 mins from downtown. Fully equipped with all you could need including a spa! The space (Since this is our only home, contact us regardless of the calendar as we can sometimes accommodate you given enough time. 5 night minimum still required, however keep in mind that this is our only home, not a vacation property, so planning will be needed & availability will be dependent on your stay request) Welcome to our beloved home built in 1910 in the lovely Sunnyside neighborhood! We love our home and have worked hard to make it not only comfortable, but also beautiful, creative & relaxing. INSIDE the home features 2 bedrooms & an office (on 2nd floor), two with queen beds and office with twin bed with new pillow top mattress (or couch if twin mattress is not needed). The attic bonus room is on the 3rd level and has surround sound tv with cable and blu ray dvd (plays regular movies, too) player. This bonus room has a large sectional couch and more seating as well as a view of Laurelhurst park from the northern window. An air mattress can also be found in the attic if needed. There's plenty of open space on the first floor and all the amenities you could need during your stay as well as access to the back yard. The great stereo system can be connected to your phone or computer for streaming on the tv in the living room or stereo and there is also a turntable and outdoor speakers should you want music while you're outside, but please be mindful of the neighbors. The kitchen is large and fully equipped with new gas range, microwave, dishwasher, fridge & ceiling fan as well as plenty amenities such as pots, plates, wine glasses, etc. you need for meals. You can also access the (HE) High Efficiency washer and dryer in the basement through the kitchen door. The dining room has a very large table that easily seats 4-6 people at its smallest and can be extended to 8-10 if needed. OUTSIDE you have access to the large front porch when you feel like watching the people walk by & be surrounded by the fragrant jasmine or the more private back yard oasis complete with plenty of seating, dining & lounging options, gas grill, garden edibles for your meals, gas fire pit table, and soaking in the large 6-7 person spa with beautiful artwork as your backdrop. For those rainy days, the front porch and side & back decks are also completely covered and we now have a tent canopy over the patio, too. Enjoy naps on the super comfy daybed found on the side deck and use the hanging heater when it gets chilly. Guest access Guests have full access to the home & yards during their stay with no other guests or homeowners on the premises. If you are pre-approved for a dog (one), an additional $100 fee will be added. Dogs not pre-approved will result in additional fees and security deposit withheld. Other things to note While our pups will not be here during your stay, it's important to note that we have two dogs that are most definitely a part of the family, Nina & Simone! We will absolutely prepare and deep clean the home for all arrivals, however if you are very sensitive or allergic, you should know this before renting our home. Also, while we love kids and they are welcome in our home, it is not really child proofed for younger children. Our niece and nephew have always loved & preferred staying in the attic on the large sectional couch, in tents, sleeping bags & on the air mattress. It's very cozy up there and has a wall heater and we install a window a/c unit during warmer months. The house does not have central air, however it does not get very hot in the house on most summer days when keeping blinds closed and doors & windows shut. We do install a/c units on the 2nd floor as well as the attic, which work great. There are also ceiling fans in all the bedrooms which help with circulation. The house has thick walls, so if windows & blinds are kept closed during the hottest parts of the day, it is completely manageable. The first floor can actually feel cool as you come in from outside. The hardwoods and slate tile on the first floor help with this. In addition, we have plenty of stairs, so please consider this before renting. We have stairs to the front porch, to the 2nd floor & bedrooms, to the 3rd floor attic & basement if you plan to use the washer/dryer, so please consider this as you make plans.
