Our ground floor 2 bedroom granny flat is for your exclusive use. It has unlimited wi-fi and is situated on our developing farm with acres for you to explore and an abundance of wildlife to enjoy. Whilst not luxury accommodation, it is private, clean and comfortable and includes basic breakfast. Family friendly with plenty of room for your boat, caravan or camper. Virtue Farm is a 33 acre property overlooking K'gari (Fraser Island), with 27 acres of remnant forest. Kangaroos visit daily. The space You have exclusive use of the ground floor 2 bedroom granny flat with its own bathroom, kitchenette (not a full kitchen) and living/dining space. The sofa folds out as a bed for a 5th guest if required. A port-a-cot is available upon request. There is a large outdoor table setting next to the wood-fired oven. You overlook our dams and have a view up to our developing farm. We have a large organic vegetable patch with seasonal harvests available for purchase. Fresh herbs are always a feature and are great for cooking and for teas and yes we also supply the necessary tea plunger! The kitchenette is equipped with a kettle, toaster, fridge and microwave but no stove. We have a small BBQ with hot plate and grill outside. We also provide a two burner hotplate and electric fry pan to use outside and have plenty of pots and pans for your use. We provide a basic starter pack for breakfast including bread, butter, spreads, museli and dairy milk. We have a range of home made artisan preserves for you to try. We also provide basic pantry items like, salt and pepper, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, instant coffee, black tea bags, and sugar. Our drinking water is fresh filtered rain water and completely safe to drink. We are completely tank dependent, so being water-wise is important, please be prepared to minimize your water usage. We adopt a sustainable, minimal waste approach to life and want to educate and encourage our guests to do the same. Our chickens will love your food scraps and so will our composting systems. Landfill is a last resort for us! We share the laundry space, which is available for your use until 9pm. We live upstairs, so there will be some noise from us moving around. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans. We have a washing machine and drier which you are able to use, but not after 8.30pm. Guest access The granny flat is on the ground level making it easy for your access and to come and go as you please. We live in a very safe community. If we are not home to welcome you, access is easy through the sliding doors. Other things to note With plenty of space for the kids to play, you are welcome to bring some outside toys with you, or borrow the limited range that we have to share. Parking space is also available for you to house a boat, camper trailer or caravan. We are only ten minutes away from the boat ramp at River Heads and 15 minutes from the Marina at Urangan. We are tank water dependent, so if we are lowish on water, there may be a small charge for water if using it to flush out boat motors etc. With at least two day's notice we are happy to make up ice bricks or esky bricks for your use. Whilst we are animal lovers, our property is not fenced and because we have kangaroos and an abundance of other wild life that visit daily, we are unable to host pets.
