The guesthouse is located above the detached garage of our park-like backyard full of mature Douglas Fir trees. Walk up the private stairs to enter into a spacious single level that includes an open floor plan kitchen/living room, private bedroom, walk-in closet, and bathroom with laundry facilities. Upon entry, there is a built-in bench with coat hooks that opens onto the kitchen and living room. The kitchen is fully appointed with everything you'd need to cook a sensational meal. The kitchen features granite countertops, a KitchenAid stove, oven, full size refrigerator, built-in microwave, dishwasher, instant hot/cold water dispenser, a Keurig coffee maker and coffee, toaster, blender, dishes, cooking equipment, and a wood block countertop eat-in island with seating for 2. There is also a small pantry stocked with some basic supplies. The airy living room includes a comfy sectional to unwind on while viewing the 48" flat screen. High speed internet, a DVD player, cable, yoga mat, and board games are available for your entertainment. A private balcony is located just off the living room that overlooks the shared yard that we also welcome guests to enjoy. There is outdoor seating for two to have a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the afternoon. The deck also has a lighted handrail while sitting outside to enjoy Portland's lovely evenings. The bedroom has black-out curtains for late sleepers, a queen size bed with hight thread count sheets and quilt, two dressers, and a walk-in closet with an iron and ironing board. Additionally, a full length mirror, reading lamps, and digital alarm clock with USB charging ports round out the comfortable sleeping quarters. The entire guesthouse is heated and cooled using an energy efficient ducted mini split, so it's easy to adjust temperature for whether you're hanging out lounging or sleeping comfortably. The bathroom features a large soaking tub and a full size washer and dryer if you need to catch up on a load of laundry. The property has landscape lighting and motion sensor exterior lights if you are coming and going late. Off street parking is available in front of the main house. Towels, linens, toiletries, some cooking supplies, coffee, and tea are provided. No smoking or other pets on the premises please.
