Victorian terraced cottage close to restaurants & bars of Weymouth harbour and town, sandy beach, Newton's Cove, Nothe and CEFAS. Fully equipped for families & ideal for couples wishing to explore the town & local area. Also ideally located for visitors to CEFAS. NO Smoking, Vaping, e-cigs or charging bikes or vehicles. The space We have many regular customers who return year after year, some several times a year. Some want to come and let the kids play on the beautiful sandy beach with the safe, shallow sea; others want to people-watch. We have groups and couples wanting to spend time with friends, or those visiting friends and family within the area. Some just want to come and enjoy the events or nightlife Weymouth has on offer (for which we can pass on recommendations from other guests). Perhaps the many events hosted by the Nothe Fort or Weymouth Pavilion will take your fancy, or outdoor events such as the Ironman, Dusk to Dark arts event, Pirate Fest, Seafood Festival or beach volleyball. The cottage is ideally located for visitors to the town's events and eateries. Guest access We endeavour to recreate a "home-from-home" feel. The decor is calm, cheerful and light. Most people are surprised how roomy the cottage is, and comment how "happy" it feels. We want you to be happy. We have tried to include as many home comforts as possible to minimise the amount of "stuff" you need to bring. Having several children ourselves, we believe we have included everything you would need to keep the children happy while on holiday. If you have forgotten anything, all the high-street shops can be found in the town centre, and there is a 24hr Asda within walking distance. Parking in Weymouth is notoriously scarce, however there is a public car park approx. 100m from the cottage at £8/24hrs. Other things to note This is our fifteenth year of renting out our lovely little holiday home (seventh through Airbnb). Please list details of who will be staying at the cottage in your reservation request. This is to eliminate erroneous/fraudulent bookings. Please note that this cottage is for self-catering holidays. Therefore you will need to provide all your "consumables", such as food, dishwasher tablets (I leave 1 tab and a cloth), washing powder, toilet paper (I leave enough for your arrival) and so on. We do not leave an "arrivals basket" due to the potential for allergies, unless specifically requested. We advertise as no dogs because we have a regular guest with a pet allergy. However, it may be possible to accommodate a dog (ground floor only, not on furniture, not left alone) depending on dates, so please discuss via an enquiry before making a booking request. Strictly no dogs from 31st May - 28th June 25. We do not leave welcome packs due to dietary unknowns and to prevent waste, however we can be available at the cottage should you wish to have your groceries delivered just prior to your arrival. To keep the gas bill down and to do our bit for the environment, the central heating (if required) will be preset. While most guests find the cottage cosy, if you would like the temperature altered, it can be easily adjusted by request. (The Wifi router must be left on at all times.) A Ring doorbell is installed for our security when the cottage is unoccupied. There are no other cameras or monitoring equipment in the property. Electric scooters, bikes, cars cannot be charged at the property. No parties or over-occupancy. Finally, for those new to Airbnb: we try our absolute hardest to be 5* hosts who love 5* guests.
