Description
We have 2 double rooms with shared hot-shower bathroom. In our house you will enjoy living in a small Indian family in an idyllic setting while enjoying comfort and privacy! Our Peacock Room was named after a small painting by French artist Pâquerette Charlas. This room is well insulated from the heat during the hot season (April-June), and it is fitted with air-conditioning as well as the fan. The AC is optional for an extra 200 rupees, so upon arrival please let us know if you want to use it. The space Our place is ideal if you want to stay in an Indian house and get an insight into Indian family life, whilst being comfortable! Guest access Hot water shower, mosquito-repellent plug, mosquito net (for the bed) upon request, electric heater upon request (for an extra 100 rupees), filtered water, internet (wifi), TV in the living room, home vegetarian cooking (upon request - check out menu). During your stay We will be present while you stay in our home. We are friendly and welcoming. The household includes Vijay, his French wife Vio, our 3-year-old daughter, Vijay's brother Ravi, his mother and our (13-year-old) nephew. Other things to note As well as running this homestay, we also run the association Friends in Khajuraho, with projects including a school teaching English, music and/or art and environmental awareness to local children; sponsorships; an eco-friendly promise for our community, a literacy outside of Khajuraho and clothing distributions. You are welcome to assist or visit one of those projects when you stay with us.
