Cozy and quiet in the old town

In the oldest and most characteristic district of Catania, close to the bathing sea, the house is a fine example of a 19th century building. Independent and finely renovated, it overlooks a scenic pedestrian square with historic buildings and large murals. Within walking distance: the harbour the bus & railway station, the bus stop for the airport and the sandy beach and 2 rentacar. There is also plenty of parking nearby, for free on the street or guarded. ALEXA will make your stay enjoyable! The space This quiet and independent house - entirely restored respecting the original architecture and furnished with modern and functional solutions - can accommodate up to six people. On two levels, both air-conditioned, the first has a cosy living area with a comfortable double sofa bed, a fully equipped open kitchen and a bathroom with big shower and bidet. The second level is used as a sleeping area, with two bedrooms - one with a double bed and one with 1 cot and 2 single beds (which can become a double bed on request) - and a bathroom. The large openings allow for pleasant natural lighting throughout the house, in particular the upper rooms have large ceiling windows from which the moonlight and the stars filter through. Guest access Access to the entire house Other things to note The house is located in Largo XVII August, it features original flooring in geometric patterns made using clay blocks and flagstones of lava rock. A few steps from the house is the complex of the Old Customs Building, which for some years - following a successful intervention of functional adaptation of rooms – inside the building there are shops of local artistic crafts and traditional food and wine quality products. In the numerous bars, restaurants, taverns, in the district - some of which are reported by the Slow Food guide, Gambero Rosso and Michelin - you can discover and taste the Sicilian gastronomic specialties.
