Adjacent to our farmhouse home, although no longer a working farm, Curlew Cottage retains many original features and is bursting with character – electric stove, beamed ceilings, natural slate floors and exposed stone walls. Spacious, well equipped and tasteful accommodation. The space Ground Floor: Sitting/dining room with large bay window, exposed stonework and electric stove. PLEASE NOTE that the stove is electric and not a wood burner. Fitted kitchen with door to patio. Shower room with basin and toilet. Staircase from sitting room to double bedroom. First floor: Double bedroom with 6ft super king size bed. Access to cosy single bedroom is via the double bedroom so if privacy is an issue this property may not be for you. Guest access Small private patio garden with garden furniture. Parking for one car, two by prior arrangement. Other things to note Access to the property is via a track and two gates, approximately 500m from the road. Heating is electric storage heaters and an ELECTRIC stove (it’s not a wood burner). Included in the cottage: WiFi - is OK, occasionally unreliable, and definitely not ultrafast, or even superfast! Please contact us prior to booking if you intend to use Wifi for work purposes. Bed linen and towels and cosy fleece blankets. Kitchen essentials including tea, coffee sugar, tea towels, cloths, washing-up liquid, cling film, tin foil, kitchen roll and dishwasher tablets. Bathroom essentials including toilet paper and hand wash DOG OWNERS PLEASE NOTE - Well behaved dogs are welcome. There is an additional charge of £15 per dog per stay. The garden of this cottage is secure but small with no grass. Usual doggy house rules apply - not allowed on the furniture or in the bedrooms, must not be left unattended in the cottage, must be kept on a lead whilst on our property except in the cottage’s private garden and we ask guests to pick up any waste after their dogs. The fields that surround our property usually have sheep in them and are not owned by us so we cannot give permission for guests to access these fields other than walking/driving up and down our access track. Parking - there is space for one car per cottage although extra car can be accommodated by prior arrangement. Babies & Children welcome but no baby equipment provided. Nearest shop is 4 miles away, large supermarkets can be found in Welshpool and Shrewsbury (12 and 15 miles away respectively). Waitrose, Tesco, Sainsbury's and Asda all deliver in our area. Nearest pub serving food 1 mile away.
