Up to 14 day stays are OK. This rustic cottage, circa 1850, has antique charm, yet modern comforts. In addition to a living and dining room, there is a vintage kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, laundry facilities. Very tall people will have to duck under door ways. Not suitable for children under 12. WiFi and a smart TV. Kitchen ceiling is 6'3.5". An exterior camera is installed to observe wild life passing through the yard. A switch in the laundry turns it off. The space Chaplin is located between Boston (2 hours) and New York City (3 hours) in the Quiet Corner of Connecticut. It is 15 minutes from the University of Connecticut and downtown Storrs, 15 minutes from Eastern Connecticut State University and five minutes from 24-hour shopping. The Pomfret School is just a short drive away. Pets are NOT permitted as some or our guests are allergic. Guest access There is a loft area in the house with wicked stairs, so we've blocked it off for safety reasons. The stairs remain but are blocked. Other things to note We expect people to clean up after themselves in the kitchen and bathroom. 
Please respect the furnishings and let us know if anything needs attention. We expect guests to leave the cottage as clean as they found it when they arrived. We are 83 and do our best to provide a convenient and welcome home. Check out includes putting used towels and sheets thru washer and into dryer. We sanitize with Chlorox wipes but would rather not have to clean cooking messes, etc. You are welcome to use any supplies left by others in the cabinets. Ask to borrow cake pans and the like. We live just across the street.
