Romantic cottage bordering a lake and surrounded by rolling hills, woods, and meadows. This detached cottage features all modern conveniences and boasts its own spacious garden with patio. The space Le Moulin de la Farge is a lovely place hidden in the heart of the Limousin. Our hamlet consists of a water mill, a farmhouse and a cottage (formerly a bakery). The buildings are constructed in a traditional, stone style and have their origin in the 17th century. The hamlet is located in a very quiet area at the end of a paved road, approximately 5 km from the village of Saint-Moreil. It is beautifully situated, bordering a lake with a brook, and is surrounded by rolling hills, woods, and meadows. In the olden days, the cottage was used as a bakery and produced bread using flour milled at the estate. Today, the completely renovated cottage is a cosy gîte, sleeping two. It was refurbished in keeping with its traditional style, but features all modern conveniences. The ground floor has underfloor heating hidden under antique French tiles. A modern wood burning stove now adorns the fireplace where once the bread oven was used. The gîte is fully double-glazed, whilst preserving the centuries-old oak frames. The ground floor has a comfortable sitting area near the stove. There’s a fully-fitted kitchen (equipped with an induction hob, dishwasher, combination microwave oven, fridge with freezer compartment), as well as a dining area seating 2-4. The bathroom with WC, sink, and spacious walk-in shower is also on the ground floor. The mezzanine with balustrade is furnished with a queen-sized bed (1.60 x 2.00 m) and a chest of drawers. The bedroom opens up to a view of the living room below and French doors provide a view of the garden. The cottage is completely detached from the other buildings. It has a spacious private garden and patio. The patio is equipped with garden furniture and a BBQ.
