Our self- contained 'Shebin' bedsitter is the ultimate shed / cabin experience. Get up from your linen covered queen Sealy bed to a complimentary breakfast of fresh eggs from our hens, local sourdough bread, organic coffee/herbal teas and juice. Enjoy your day bushwalking, warm up at your own fire pit, indulge in private outdoor bath, play lawn games, do yoga or wander the property on the private mini walks through the trees to the creek. Lull away your stay in this relaxed luxe atmosphere:) The space Our 'Shebin' (that’s a shed mixed with a cabin) is a unique self-contained space for guests to relax and unwind on our 2 acres by the creek. You can enter the Shebin space through your own gateway and will have 25 sqm of internal space to enjoy plus half an acre of landscaped, level grounds and natural creek and lawn to enjoy. Your own bathroom is stocked with locally sourced toiletries too. Minimum stays We are a two night minimum stay venue, however, we can sometimes offer one night stays midweek for wedding or event guests, if you contact us directly. Please note we are often busy and can only offer this when time permits and reserve the right to kindly refuse these requests. Breakfast Breakfast is included with your stay and requires you to prep to your liking in the Shebin. We have sourced as much local and organic bread, farm fresh eggs, yoghurts, fresh milk and orange juice; plus yummy condiments brewing coffee and loose leaf tea. Cocktail/Mocktail Bar Emmali has a fully stocked mixer bar for purchase. We use locally made, botanical mixers that boost your cocktail delights. We’re currently stocking the delicious & locally made Zero % alcohol from Clovendoe. As a way of giving back, we give 50% of proceeds from bar sales to an Emmali favourite charity, Who Gives A Cluck; they rehabilitate battery hens who deserve a chance at a decent life. Our Ethos Our aim is to have guests drop their bags and know everything has been thought of. We would love you to get back to nature and enjoy eating great, locally sourced food, see local sights and take time to just be. Guest access After entering through the main property gate, you can park anywhere in front of the shed. There you can see the gateway to your space. The area around the Shebin is completely yours. Other things to note - Other guests - Sorry, no other guests, children, pets or photography or any other activities are allowed in the space or around the property. - Noise - Happy motorists love cruising our road. Great fun but can be a wee bit noisey. So while every effort is made to enhance your stay with us, we cannot help or control the noise from the State road. - Weather - During rainy seasons, we have flash flooding in the area. Access can be made by driving over Springbrook Mt road to access our property, you cannot drive from Mudgeeraba area. If in this rare situation, you do have a booking with us and flooding does occur, we will try our best to change dates to accomodate you. However, we cannot guarantee service and will deal with your booking as per Airbnb refund policy. - Smoking - We reserve the rightful to refuse guest smoking in and around the immediate areas of the Shebin. Smoking may be a normal habit for you, but it is not for most of us. Smoke fumes last long after you leave. It affects the bedding, soft furnishings and laundry and we reserve the right to charge an additional fee of $50 for extra cleaning required to remove this. - Body Creams & Oils - It’s lovely to spoil each other with nourishing massages and lovely body creams. However, these don’t mix well with our natural bedding fibres and causes yellowing and break down of the fabric. We ask that you don’t use synthetic or highly perfumed or coloured products in the Shebin and any extra cleaning with attract a $50 additional fee. - Firewood - We offer a substantial supply of timber for your enjoyment. If you would like more timber we can offer, when available, at an additional charge of $20 per bag.
