Comfortable double room with private bathroom in very central but quiet apartment in the New Town, overlooking our private garden. The apartment is very accessible, only a few minutes walk from the train station, bus station and the tram connection to the airport. There is a well-equipped kitchen which you are welcome to use, or alternatively there are many restaurants, bars and shops a couple of minutes walk away. All the major tourist attractions are also within walking distance. The space The room contains a double bed, space for hanging clothes and drawers for storage, as well as tea/coffee making facilities, digital radio alarm, hair dryer, chargers and lots of books! It has also been recently recarpeted. Along the corridor is a bathroom with toilet, shower and bath - this is exclusively for your use. There is also a kitchen and a private garden, both of which you are welcome to make use of! Please note that a) the flat is accessed via one flight of stairs, and b) we have a cat; therefore if you have mobility issues or cat allergies then the flat may not be suitable. Guest access You are welcome to make use of most of the rest of the flat: - our garden, including the barbecue - the well-equipped kitchen, including cooking facilities (oven, hob, grill, microwave, toaster etc), dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. You can help yourself to tea, coffee and breakfast. - living room with TV During your stay We will be available to meet you at check-in, and happy to have a chat and give tips on good places to eat and drink nearby and recommendations of things to do. We will probably both be at work or out for some of your stay, however if not we're happy to share a drink and a chat! Other things to note Parking - as with anywhere in the centre of Edinburgh, there is limited parking available nearby, especially during working hours. There are some on-street parking spaces directly outside the flat which are free at the weekend and during weekend evenings, however they need to be paid for during weekdays and have a maximum stay of 2 hours. Consequently, if you want to stay for a few days during the week and have a car, we recommend the area around Dryden Street where it is free to park all the time and is about 15 minutes walk from the flat
