Villa Tusculanum: Space & Privacy | Near the Beach

Villa Tusculanum is a unique, beautiful historic house close to the beach with direct access to nature and the dunes, multiple spaces to work and/or relax, fast WiFi, Netflix, and many authentic details, in a quiet location close to the town center. Step into nature directly from your doorstep and enjoy the widest beaches of the Netherlands or walk, cycle or run in the dunes! The space Villa Tusculanum is located in the beach village of Wijk aan Zee in North Holland, just a five-minute walk from the wide, quiet beaches and surfing hot spots. Shops, cafes and restaurants are also at hand. The house is a historic villa with a unique, authentic look & feel. It has multiple spaces to relax and work, including areas for videocalls and teleconferencing. The WiFi is super fast! In the secluded backyard you can enjoy a BBQ or relax in the evening with a glass of wine by the fire pit. There are several dedicated parking spaces in front of the house. The house is located 25 minutes driving from Amsterdam and Schiphol airport. The historic cities of Haarlem, Alkmaar and IJmuiden with the famous Fort Island can be reached within a short distance. You can also easily access the beaches of Heemskerk, Castricum and Bergen aan Zee, as well as De Zaanse Schans, by bike or by car. Ground floor: Entrance, spacious hall, living room en-suite with high ceilings, wooden floors and original stucco. At the front the spacious sitting room with alcove (herein a desk for any work activities!), comfortable sofas, and of course a flatscreen TV with complimentary Netflix! In the back, ample dining room with space for eight, as well as a few comfortable chairs to relax and read a good book. Kitchen with gas stove, oven, microwave, electric oven and dishwasher. Of course, a coffee maker, Senseo, electic kettle and toaster are provided. Small table for reading or working with a view of the dunes. Adjacent utility room with table and chairs / breakfast bar. Half bathroom. Winter garden / sun room with breakfast table and chairs, as well as comfortable sofas for more relaxing and reading! Glass sliding doors to the private backyard with outdoor dining set, lounge area, BBQ and fire pit. Upstairs: Landing, three bedrooms, bathroom with his & hers sink, shower and toilet. There are two bedrooms with a large double bed and a an additional bedroom with a bunk bed and separate trundle bed, fitting three adults or children. A baby crib is also provided. General: Tusculanum is a unique accommodation with a lot of atmosphere and its own character. One of the characteristic houses of Wijk aan Zee! The house has been kept true to its origins as much as possible, but of course is fully equipped for a great stay! There are many books in the house and you can read them all during your time in Villa Tusculanum! But for those who would prefer to watch a movie or their favorite TV series, we offer complimentary Netflix and great WiFi in all areas. Guest access You will have the entire house and outside areas to yourself. No other guests will be staying at the property Other things to note No groups under 25 years of age, no pets and no parties allowed. The house is non-smoking. We ask our guests to respect the house and take good care of it, and not disturb our neighbours. The bedrooms are on the second floor and accessible via a staircase.
