Twin or Double Room in Titirangi Kauri Forest
Description
Our unique space is surrounded by mighty kauri trees. We offer cosy twin or double room with a fantastic forest view - ideal for an outdoorsy person, a nature lover, one who enjoys living in the bush. Our facilities include: open-deck kitchen, lounge area, private parking. The room can have either 2 single or 1 double bed. If you want to choose the bed type, please send a request when booking. The bathroom is shared between the two rooms. You can book both rooms. The space Our space is great for taking pictures, meditation, reading, going out for walks, getting to know Titirangi area. We sometimes hold little arts and crafts exhibitions with local artists. Our facilities include: kitchen w/open deck, lounge area, guest bedrooms, and private parking. Our rooms are cosy, with simple amenities. We have an open deck kitchen. It is sheltered but without a back wall and, therefore, exposed to elements. It offers a fantastic view and is very pleasant on warm days, but is chilly on cold rainy days. Please keep that in mind and plan accordingly. The kitchen has only basic facilities: suitable for heating up food, making tea/coffee, but might not be suitable for making complex dinners (no oven). Our space has steep stairs and open decks. Younger children must be supervised at all times. Unfortunately, our place cannot accommodate the higher access needs such as additional railings/absence of stairs/non slip and safety mats. Our apologies for the inconvenience. Guest access All guests are welcome to use the open deck kitchen, lounge room, the laundry (please use your own detergent), parking, and the garden areas. Private premises, including upstairs kitchen, are off limits unless invited. During your stay The house owners live a few mins away and will come by to say Hi. The housekeeping sometimes visits early morning. Art workshops happen once a month but attendees do not disturb the guests. Other things to note Our location has its own advantages and disadvantages. We are surrounded by magnificent ancient kauri trees and our common areas offer great views. However, living among trees means constant shade and high humidity as well as debris falling from trees. It also means properly maintaining our windows is a constant challenge. No matter how hard we try, spiderwebs remain part of the ambience. ㋡ Despite the minor inconveniences, we offer a unique experience of living in kauri bushland area.
