Discover the gorgeous landscape that surrounds this place to stay. 5 acre property bordering miles of BLM land as well as only a mile away from the Pacific Crest Trail. 30 minutes from the historic mining town of Julian, now known for their apple pie and ciders. Escape reality in this off-grid property. Relax and enjoy the sun. At night, enjoy the seasonal (available April-November) hot tub for two! Plenty of space to set up additional tents. The space UPDATE: Due to recent flash floods that damaged some of the dirt roads, high clearance vehicles (suv etc) are recommended. 4wd is not required. There is parking for 1 vehicle available at the bottom of the driveway if low clearance vehicle can’t make it up. The Earthbag Tiny House is situated on 5 acres of undeveloped land and includes an earthbag/stone outhouse and seasonal hot tub. The property has a large shaded area for folks to be together and gather during the heat of the day. We also have a large charcoal BBQ grill and gas grill available for guests to use. This property is off-grid, but fully equipped with solar power, running water, and wifi. You will be walking distance to an expansive area of BLM land, multiple hiking trails, horseback riding, and jeep/ATV trails. We are just 1 mile from the famous Pacific Crest Trail and a 10-minute drive to access Borrego Desert hiking. Guest access Park on the dirt driveway Other things to note *Around 2 times per year, there are heavy snowfalls that make the driveway accessible by 4 wheel drive only.* There is an option to leave the vehicle at the bottom of the driveway and walk the rest of the way (150 yards). We are at 4,000ft in elevation so expect Mountain/High Desert temperatures. Firewood is not provided.
