Beautiful 17th-century French traditional cottage, perched on the ridge line between Lyonnais and Forez. At an altitude of 900 m, it offers a hilly panorama of meadows and woods, a true haven of peace 35 min from Lyon. Steeped in history, this site was a hotspot of the French Resistance, linked to Jean Moulin and the US Army drop zone during World War II. Discover this 100 m² house of character (former family farm for several generations) spread over the ground floor and first floor, combining historic charm and modern comfort. It consists of: - a 40 m² living room with open kitchen, - a dining room located in a vaulted cellar made of 18th century cut stone, full of charm and authenticity, - a separate toilet and a bathroom with a view, - a bedroom with a double bed and a large bedroom with two single beds and two bunk beds, ideal for families or groups. The oak parquet, French ceilings and fully exposed framework, composed of 18th century beams, bring a unique character to the house. The René Brisach fireplace diffuses its warmth throughout the ground floor, creating a friendly and warm atmosphere. Each room has been decorated with unique elements, inspired by the heritage and character of the region. Also enjoy the terrace and large outdoor spaces surrounding the cottage, perfect for relaxing or sharing moments with family or friends. The gîte has been renovated with the help of the Maisons Paysannes de France, according to very strict specifications, to preserve its authenticity and historical character. Guest access Very easy to access except in winter because of the attitude with the snow. Other things to note ***If you have any questions or special requests, please let us know: we will be happy to answer you! - Access only by car. And yes, we are really in the countryside! :) - Wifi not available, but 4G works perfectly to stay connected if needed. - Bed linen must be provided by us for hygiene reasons, to be paid on site upon arrival: €5/bed. - Additional guests not registered on the booking: an extra €30/day/person will be requested when you check out. - Baby equipment available free of charge upon request during booking: baby bed, bathtub, high chair, changing mat. - Pets are welcome free of charge! Just bring their baskets and vacuum before you leave. Dogs are not allowed upstairs or on the couch. From two animals, a cleaning fee of €30 will be requested. ➡️ The gîte is not a reception venue. No parties, evenings and events of any kind are allowed. ➡️ No outside guests are allowed for the duration of the stay. The gîte and property are reserved exclusively for the occupants declared in the reservation. ➡️ The gîte has a maximum capacity of 6 people.
