I have been from Marseille for 30 years and I live with my 2 children mainly in our large south-facing house located in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods of Marseille. It is above all a pleasant place to live, where we like to meet as a family and share nice moments. I hope you will feel the relaxed and family spirit of a Provençal house in the middle of the city, offering proximity to the sea, small shops and 10 minutes from the city center, the old port. The space Our house is south-facing, which allows you to enjoy permanent sunshine throughout the day. We have 180 m2 of living space, a 40 m2 terrace and an 80 m2 garden The house has 3 bedrooms, one with an integrated bathroom. In addition to these 3 bedrooms there is also a communicating library where there is a 4th bed (sofa bed). In the house there are 2 bathrooms and 3 toilets including one directly in one of the bathrooms and one on the terrace on the ground floor. To eat we have a beautiful wooden tray style "American bar, a dining room on the veranda, with a large table, as well as a large terrace with a wooden table on which we can eat while enjoying the beautiful weather of Marseille and the vegetation of the terrace as well as that of the garden. We have a living room with a fireplace and a TV. In addition, in our accommodation we have a laundry room where there is a water point, a washing machine and a dryer And finally we are lucky to have a garage, a space is reserved for you on request. Guest access We rent the entire place. The garage is shared. Accessible by bus line 80, Bensa stop, and car. Other things to note You will have understood that this is our place of life that we care about, and we particularly appreciate all respectful people. I just wanted to let you know that damage to our roof related to the heavy rains of autumn 2024 has been repaired - the roof has been redone😁. Like any house with a garden, you might encounter some insects, birds, mainly turtledoves and little sparrows, and sometimes wild parakeets (and yes...), or neighborhood cats in transit... plan on mosquito repellent. Located in Marseille, which enjoys 170 days of sunshine per year, you are here in the southern region, with a warm temperate Mediterranean climate. While the mistral sometimes blows on the Canebière, it enjoys pleasant weather throughout the year. > Cool season November 17 to March 13. Minimum in winter: January minimum 4 degrees Celsius / maximum 12 degrees Celsius. > Hot season from June 14 to September 9. Maximum in July. So it's hot in summer! And yes!!! And the house is not air-conditioned, but rather cool if you take care to keep the shutters locked. Some rooms have Dyson fans. The heating is central gas with old cast iron radiator.
