The Domaine des Carriers is a former limestone quarry whose old houses and outbuildings have been renovated into charming gîtes and guest rooms. This space, a true haven of peace and history, is located 5 minutes by car from Clamecy, 46 minutes from Auxerre and 2h35 from Paris. INFORMATION: There are dogs running loose on the estate. The space Located on the first floor of the Master Carrier's house, the Granit room is 40m² in size and is the most intimate of the four. The room has a 160 × 200 bed. The spacious bathroom has a revamped clawfoot bathtub and the sink is built into an old chest of drawers, with a Carrara marble top and credenza. The toilet in the bedroom is separate. A folding baby bed can be provided. EVERYTHING INCLUDED: sheets, towels, shower gel, shampoo, cleaning, breakfast, wifi, parking SUPPLEMENTS: Bicycle ( 10 € per person per day ) Meals on site ( 10 € per meal and per room. Without agreement, eating on the spot is forbidden) Pets 20 kg max ( 10 € per pet per day ) Baby equipment 10 € ( baby bed, mattress and sheets + baby bath + high chair ) CHECK IN: from 5pm / CHECK OUT: until 11am INFORMATION: Our dogs are allowed to roam freely on the estate. I fell in love with this vast space and I wanted to honour the work of these men who spent their lives extracting and transporting the building stones that make the charm of Burgundy's houses. The name given to these four houses represents this intention to restore the blazon of the quarrymen: the Dovecote, the Foreman's house, the Master Quarryman's house and the Compagnons' house. I will therefore be delighted to tell you the story of this estate and to give you a guided tour of the quarry, its history and my gratitude for these men who make the word "Courage" an emblem. The Domaine des Carriers is not a hotel. We are a bed and breakfast establishment and claim our private status.
