The Islandview

Welcome to The Islandview! Located on the sandy shores of Lake Couchiching, this gorgeous 4 season, 2-story open concept cottage is the perfect getaway. Escape to the private sun filled deck or dock on the water. Entertain in the open concept kitchen, two large living areas, or outdoors around the fire. During the day, enjoy watching the kids swim on the beach and at night take in the breathtaking sunsets. 5min to Washago & 10min to Casino Rama. Fully equipped with everything you need! The space The Islandview offers incredible sun-filled views of the lake from the kitchen/dining, bedrooms, dock, main floor deck and second floor porch. Only 90 mins away from Toronto, our four season cottage is perfect for a summer or winter getaway. The Islandview sleeps 7 guests comfortably. We have two piece bathrooms and two living spaces with ample seating, 1 x 55" and 1 x 66" smart TV both with Netflix, Amazon Prime and Cable. Our open concept kitchen is fully equipped with (coffee & coffee machine , toaster, toaster oven, stove/oven, blender, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, olive oil, soap, all cookware, spices, tinfoil and sonos speaker for cooking tunes). The dining table seats 6-8 people with an additional 2 seats/stools on the island. Downstairs offers a great space to cozy up in front of the fireplace while watching a movie or playing one of our many board games. We also have a wet bar located on this level for easy fridge access. Outdoors you can relax on our Muskoka chairs on the dock, the beach or have dinner on our deck which includes a 6-8 person dining set on the same level as the BBQ. We have a large lawn perfect for outdoor games and an evening fire. Our water is shallow, sandy and perfect for kids - there is also a floating raft and many small islands to explore within shallow water. Guests will have full access to our 2 x Kayaks, Canoe (May long weekend-Thanksgiving), 2 x Snowshoes, and our dock is accessible for boats with a 18" draft or less. MacGregor Marina is a short distance away and boats can also be launched at the public dock in Washago. The Islandview is also a fantastic winter escape as Lake Couchiching is known for ice-fishing, snowmobiling, cross county skiing and lots more! Guest access Guests will have full access to 2-story house, three car parking driveway, 2-story deck, BBQ, outdoor and indoor games, large 210 x 50 foot lot, extra large camp fire-pit, kayak x 2, canoe (May long weekend-Thanksgiving), 2 x snowshoes, dock, wifi, cable, Netflix, dishwasher, linens, life jackets, bedding, gas fireplace, lower level bar and outdoor bar fridge, patio table and chairs, Muskoka chairs, two TVs (one on each floor with Cable & Netflix) Other things to note Don't forget to grab firewood and marshmallows in town at Canoe (grocery store in Washago) if you plan to spend time outside around the fire pit!
