PearTree Cottage @ Glanbaiden. 4 Bed with Hottub

The former Servants Qtrs & Dairy for Glanbaiden House, Pear Tree underwent a major renovation in 2021 to offer 3 large double rooms, one ensuite & single with two single beds (one is a cabin type bed so only suitable for a child) so plenty of space & zero sofa beds. Fibre broadband & Sky for those lazy days also included. Seconds off the a465 it’s 2 mins from Abergavenny & 10 mins from Crickhowell. Enjoying the views over the sugarloaf or spend the day wandering the canals and local footpaths. The space A large 4 bedroom cottage with original bread oven and servants' entrance into Glanbaiden House (don’t worry it’s been bricked up for over 50 years). Newly renovated - you have a choice of bedrooms, lounge with wood burner, kitchen and dining room where the light floods in - it’s the best place to simply sit and read. There is also super fast broadband and sky cube! Being +150 years old the stairs are a little tight/twisty and there’s 2 steps down into the kitchen but handrails are provided. There’s a large hot tub available for use if you would like (you will need to pre-book so we can organise clean's and have it ready + we ask you vacate it by 22.00 due to noise & may not be available some dates due to changeovers - just ask). Plenty of outside space with large approach upto the house and 2-3 separate garden areas and patio to enjoy the views of The Blorenge, Sugarloaf, Llanwenarth, Rholben, Deri and Little Skirrid. You can walk to the canal path in 5-10 minutes and a great base to explore the Brecon Beacons. Guest access Your totally self contained with your own gated driveway, plenty of parking and several garden areas. WARNING - I wouldn’t park under the Pear Tree September/October as they can drop with a thud!! Keys will be ready for you in a lock box and we will text a welcome pack over before your stay with some helpful tips Other things to note Downstairs bedroom enjoys its own en-suite shower room and toilet with remaining 3 bedrooms sharing the main bathroom with walk in shower and separate bath. We allow 1-2 dogs but please let us know when booking. For those wet muddy days there’s a decent size porch to dump your wellies and boots or dry off the dogs. While we are on the subject of dogs the drive has large iron gates and all gardens are walled or fenced so they can sniff around for hours. If you're coming with young children, please don’t let them climb the stone walls - it wouldn’t be good for them or the walls. Finally - we try to stagger bookings to give plenty of time to empty/refill and clean the hottub. While we do our best to make sure its toastie for check-ins sometimes it isnt super, super hot on check-in.
