The Elijah Glover Room is located up the main staircase on the 2nd floor of the Windward House Inn. This deluxe bedroom is furnished in traditional antique décor and features a queen-sized four-poster period replica bed. Three large windows allow in plenty of light and the right amount of circulation to enjoy a cool Maine summer breeze. The large en-suite bathroom features a walk-in shower. The Windward House has been providing comfort for our guests for over a quarter of a century, however, it was built in the 1850s as a private residence. CPT Elijah Glover (1792-1868) was a lumberman and shipbuilder who built this house and operated his business in it, because of its proximity to the harbor. All guest rooms include a complimentary two course, fresh, made to order, breakfast. Guest access Private Queen bedroom with en suite bathroom. Other areas include all outdoor spaces including firepit, front porch and back porch. Guests can also use the living room in the Inn as well as a guest pantry with 24 hour coffee, Twinings Teas and snacks.
