Harptree Hideaway

Harptree Hideaway is close to historic Bath, vibrant Bristol and Wells with its Cathedral and Bishops Palace. We are very close to Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole. We are surrounded by fabulous pubs and places to visit e.g Chew Valley Lake, famous for its bird watching. East Harptree is a beautiful village with lovely walks and woods accessible straight from the door. The apartment is of a high standard with separate bathroom, bedroom and lounge/kitchen. It is spacious, comfortable and cosy. The space Guests have sole use of our high spec self contained annexe. It has its own entrance and is very private, perfect for a romantic getaway or family time together. There is a log burner for cozy nights in, in the winter months (available October to March). The wood on arrival is provided for free - additional wood is charged at £5 per load. However please do not use the log burner if you have young children at the Hideaway for safety reasons. We provide a welcome pack of bread, milk and other goodies to set you up for your holiday. It has a good sized double bedroom and a very comfortable sofa bed in the lounge. If you need to use the sofa bed please note there is a £15, per night, additional fee per person for the use of extra bedding and towels. You will need to add this to your request when making your booking. An iron, ironing board and hair dryer are provided to make your stay as easy and comfortable as possible. The large bathroom is accessed through the bedroom. Please bear this in mind if you intend to use the sofa bed in the lounge, as any additional guests will need to go through the bedroom to use the toilet/bathroom. Complimentary shampoo and shower gel are provided. We provide a travel cot for small children free of charge but you will need to provide your own bedding. There are a few children’s toys and books in the Hideaway for your use. There is a high chair and kids cutlery and table ware in the cupboards. Please let us know if you need anything else during your stay. There is a SMART tv in the lounge with Netflix, so long as you have your own login. The wifi at the Hideaway is excellent and there is a table and chairs, so you can work comfortably should you wish to do so. The Hideaway is strictly no smoking. Guest access Guests are very welcome to use the the garden. There is a grassed area for relaxing on and plenty of chairs and tables which you are welcome to use. There is a small fish pond which is uncovered so please supervise small children in the garden at all times. We have a drive so you can unload your car and then you can park adjacent to the property on the quiet road. We require access to our drive at all times as we have a disabled child who uses a power chair. We live in a quiet village so there is never a problem with parking right beside the annexe. Other things to note We have provided a file with laminated sheets of local walks for you to use. We live in a great area for walking. There is also a file with information on local restaurants, cafes and places of interest. We have a two night minimum stay requirement. However, out of season, we may consider single nights so please do ask. The Hideaway is totally separate from the main house. It is cleaned to a high standard and you need not have any interaction with us if you prefer to be totally isolated. The key can be left in the key box so that no contact is necessary. However we are always on hand on messenger or email to answer any queries you may have. Please leave the Hideaway as you find it. Ensuring it is clean and tidy helps us to maintain a high cleaning standard and enables us to keep our cleaning charge to a minimum. Should we go back into local or National lockdown, and you are unable to legally travel or we are unable to host you, you will receive a full refund. However other than this situation our standard cancellation policy will apply. We are unable to accept dogs at the Hideaway as we have a cat. We have an EV Charger available by arrangement.
