Positioned at the top of a hill, you can gaze over kilometers of the Victorian High Country rolling hills and eye the popular waters of Lake Eildon which are only a stone's throw away. Located a short 40 minutes from the famous ski fields of Mt Buller it is the perfect place to come home to after a great day on the slopes. The space This little piece of heaven is the ideal getaway location for any kind of holiday. Located in the stunningly beautiful Victorian High Country this authentic style farmhouse is positioned in a perfect location to enjoy all of the surrounding areas' popular attractions whilst enjoying the serenity. Enjoy Lake Eildon during those hot Australian summers, Hit the slopes at the famous Mt Buller during winter or just relax, unwind and rejuvenate from the busy city life any time of the year. It offers and accommodates whatever you desire. The house itself is huge, featuring 5 beautiful bedrooms all with built-in wardrobes, a living, dining and entertaining room, as well as a sunroom with 180-degree views of the countryside. After a long day, you can come home and relax around a contained woodfire with a cup of tea or glass of wine or play one of the multiple old pianos we have. There’s also a double carport to protect your car from the weather. There’s a fabulous handmade Mandela vegetable and herb garden where you are free to pick whatever you need for all of your cooking wants. Our favourites are the tomatoes and rosemary which make fantastic homemade pasta sauce! Pick lemons, limes, grapefruits, and oranges from the various fruit trees around the garden. Enjoy Grapes straight from the vine in an almost endless supply! This property is so much more than just a house and a place to sleep. Just down the road is the Great Victorian Rail Trail which provides you with the opportunity to ride to the beautiful local country town of Mansfield. Here there is almost everything you could want. Some special places to check out are the unique cafes and restaurants such as the Produce Store, the cinema with the comfiest bean bags and the little independent shops selling handmade crafts and goods. Only a five-minute drive to the local boat ramp at lake Eildon, the house is close enough to enjoy the entire day by the water and still get a good night's rest away from the noise of the jetboats. Only a 40-minute drive away from the popular ski fields of Mt Buller, this is the perfect accommodation for a trip to the snow! Our local country town of Mansfield is only a 15 Minute drive away and is where you can stock up on all your needed supplies. It is a wonderful town to explore on a day out as there are also many lovely cafes and handmade craft stores we strongly to browse and enjoy! As it can get quite chilly in the high country during winter, electric blankets are provided on each bed to keep you nice and toasty. All linen is provided with additional blankets available free of charge and we have the staples in the pantry that you are more than welcome to use. Also, check out our awesome spice drawer! This retreat is everything you could ask for on a special holiday away and we know you will love our home as much as we do! Guest access Guests will have the entire main house to themselves and the beautiful surrounding 7 acres of property to explore and enjoy! The lovely caretaker and homeowner, Stanley, resides in a small shed that is separate from the main house and is there to provide any assistance required during your stay. This shed is strictly off-limits to guests during their stay. Other things to note We have two gorgeous cats that love kisses and cuddles and are comfortable around dogs. They reside on the property but keep to themselves and are rarely seen.
