This completely renovated cottage is the former residence of the manager of the neighboring ski resort, and is located on a scenic cliff overlooking a beautiful trout stream. A trail leads to the adjoining State Park, and the ski resort is just 5 minutes away. The cottage has 3 bedrooms, as well as a portable bed for use in a separate room, offering sleeping for a total of up to 7. The master bedroom features a built in window seat, and a queen size bed with a high-end Sleep Number mattress, that can be adjusted to your desired firmness on either side. The living room has a huge 2 story stone fireplace with vaulted ceilings and skylights, hardwood floors, and quality leather sofas and recliner. The kitchen is equipped with full sized stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher and Cuisinart coffee maker. A butcher block kitchen island provides additional area for food preparation or bar stool seating for 2, while the dining room has a matching farm-style table with seating for 6. French Doors lead from the dining area to the covered porch with a large picnic table, providing for seamless indoor/outdoor dining. Adjacent to the covered porch, is a patio with firepit and outdoor grill. A huge wrap around deck continues around the front of the cottage, and is built around a hemlock tree with hammock, providing a shady area for relaxation with sounds of the stream and view of the valley below. Additionally an enclosed porch/sunroom provides year round enjoyment, featuring high-end Lloyd Flanders Wicker Furniture. A game area has an air hockey table. The suana style master bathroom features high end finishes with integrated shower massage and seating area, while a 2nd bathroom provides further flexibility and contains a full size front load LG Washer/Dryer. A modern heating system provides both heating and air conditioning for year round comfort with individual room controls. while the gas fireplace provides additional heat and cozy atmosphere. A circular driveway provides ample parking for up to 4 cars. The property is scenic and has many rock outcroppings, mountain laurels, hostas and ferns. Private trails from the property provide access to the stream for fishing (Class 1 trout stream) as well as a mountain spring. It is very private, yet just minutes away from the resorts and many other attractions.
