23 La Crete Sands boasts a 180° view of the Indian Ocean and if lucky, rewarding one with seasonal views of whales and/or dolphins. Located close to amenities, shopping centers, restaurants and the idyllic Uvongo beach 250m down the road, makes this 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom top floor unit the perfect getaway destination. Open the sliding doors to the large covered private patio/BBQ area to savor your sunrise coffee or to enjoy that sundowner. Premium 24/7 satellite & fibre Wi-Fi are included. The space Two flights of stairs take you to the upper level of the complex. This is a small price to pay for your daily stair count, as well as being rewarded with spectacular ocean views! There are no lifts, therefore accessing the unit is unfortunately not wheelchair friendly. The unit itself is however on one level only. There is no air-conditioning, but we do have ceiling fans in all the main living areas, as well as 3x large portable fans which are extremely effective and can be moved around to cool you wherever in the unit (or on the patio) you may find yourself. The kitchen is equipped with all the appliances, cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery & glassware you will need to prepare your favorite meals (if you are not using the built-in BBQ on the patio to grill succulent steaks or that catch of the day). We highly recommend you bring a pair of binoculars to enhance your whale/dolphin/ocean viewing experience from the patio. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed, while the other 2 bedrooms each have 2 single beds. All bedrooms have built-in closets with clothes hangers. A small bolted-in security safe with self-generated code will keep all your valuables safe and secure. There is a standalone shower in the en-suite bathroom, with a bath/shower combo in the shared bathroom. A communal swimming pool is available for those quick, salt- and sand-free cool-offs, if required, with a natural ocean tidal pool 80m further down on the rocks for the more adventurous. Vehicles (2) or one vehicle and a trailer, can be locked-away in the private tandem garage below, which is rather narrow, but comfortable. Excessively wide vehicles (Large SUV's/4x4's) may have a "tighter squeeze". We offer a free cleaning service (laundry excluded) for stays of 7 days or more on the day of your choosing. Any additional days required will cost ZAR 300.00 per day. Lengthy drives as outings excluded, you should not be driving more than 5km's in any direction to find exactly what you are looking for. Other things to note "Load Shedding", or the process of limiting power to relieve the energy grid, will very likely be experienced during your stay. Sadly, we are at the mercy of the South African Energy Supply Commission. A 3Kw backup power inverter has been installed to compensate for load shedding, providing sufficient power for lighting, fans, TV and internet. Sadly, appliances with heating elements (kettle, stove, toaster, tumble dryer, etc. will not operate during load shedding, so please plan food preparation accordingly. Emergency lighting is also available in the form of 2 bright, LED portable lights. We do not recommend drinking water from the taps. "Oasis" water filtering company is just 250m up the street (see our Guidebook). Refills are extremely affordable, and the unit has an Oasis water dispenser in the kitchen. First Aid Kit: Since we cannot guarantee the sterility of any first aid items that may have been used by previous guests, we do not provide a first aid kit as a precaution.
