This apartment is just across the valley from Zealandia and is regularly visited by tui, kaka, tieke and rosellas and the view, from Mt Kaukau in the West, across the city and busy port, the harbour, with Soames Is, the Hutt Valley up to the Tararua Ranges and east to Mt Victoria and beyond, will have you never wanting to leave. The space The house was built in 1910 so it has high studs, huge windows and generous rooms. It has a large bathroom including a bath with a shower, and a top loader washing machine (cold water only), however there is no dryer. A drying rack is available for guests to use. Three of the rooms face North with views out across the harbour and the place gets all-day sun. It has been modernised, with loads of insulation installed and a heatpump which keeps the whole place cozy. Access from the road is via either a sloping path or 14 quite steep steps with a handrail leading down to the gate, then a couple more steps down, and a sloping path to the bottom of 16 wide wooden steps leading up to an enclosed porch, as per the photo. Guest access There are bus-stops to and from town and the village of Brooklyn is just 10-15 minutes walk downhill from the flat. There is usually kerb-side parking available for one car (not guaranteed).
