Stunning views from warm cosy yurt

The handcrafted and wool insulated yurt is warm and cosy year round and has a skylight to gaze at the stars at night. A private retreat in the native bush with outdoor kitchen, bath/shower and composting toilet all with amazing views of the Motueka river valley and the Tasman Bay beyond. The space Our yurt resides in an eco village in the Motueka river valley, 15 minutes from Motueka. The handcrafted wooden furniture gives it a warm, inviting atmosphere. A woodburner provides warmth for the winter months. Guest access You will have your own parking space and access to your private eco retreat. We're at the end off a 1.5km steep grade gravel access road, which is easily accessible with 2WD cars. To reach the yurt you would need to navigate steps going up a bank that could be challenging with big suitcases and high heels. Alternative access can be arranged if needed. Other things to note "Te Manawa" eco village is "off the grid" and the power for the yurt comes from an alternative power system that is shared with all the residents. The drinking water comes directly from a spring and is gravity-fed to the eco village. It is pure, delicious and safe to drink! Our solar hot water system preheats 200 liters of water for your bath/shower, a back-up water heater will guarantee instant hot water 24/7. We have a grey water discharge system in place and we use sawdust & composting toilets. For the promised stunning views a 1.5km drive uphill is required; if you don't want to drive too much, we recommend you bring enough food for the length of your stay.
