Stinson Family Cottages

The Stinson Cottages are family owned cottages located on Horseshoe Lake just south of Arden, Ontario. These summer (closed from Oct to June) dwellings are the perfect get away for families and friends from Toronto, Ottawa and Kingston. Situated on Horseshoe lake, the cottages are ideal for swimming, fishing, water sports, nearby hiking, outdoor games and just relaxing. The space This three bedroom cottages has three bedrooms, bathroom, full kitchen and living area. FAQ Where can I get supplies? Tamworth to the south has a grocery store, LCBO, gas station and other amenities. visit (URL HIDDEN) for more information Sharbot Lake to the north East has a grocery store, Beer Store, LCBO, gas stations, hardware store and other amenities. Visit (URL HIDDEN) for more information. We supply recycling facilities and encourage all of our guests to minimize the amount of packaging they bring up. Is the Water Drinkable? Yes, the water is drinkable and it tastes great! The well is located on the property and is tested regularly throughout the season by the provincial lab in Kingston. Bringing your own Boat? You are invited to bring your own boat as Horseshoe lake is perfect for water sports. We recommend all boats under 20' as the lake is not that large. There is a boat launch located .5 km away or three cottages down the road within sight of our beach. Open Area There are three cottages located on the property that share a communal beach, docks and play area. The ground is flat and easy to navigate for small children. There is a play structure with swings and a slide for young children. We encourage all guests to enjoy the open space while being respectful of other renters and our family. Games Horseshoe pits, badminton/volleyball net, frisbees are provided. There is ample room for bocce ball, crocket, ring toss etc... Fishing Yup Guest access Guests have access to the entire cottage and all of the grounds but we ask you stay out of the sheds. The beach is shared along with all the furniture and the fire pit so please take advantage. There is ample parking beside each cottage that is clearly marked. Other things to note There is another cottage on the grounds that is available for rent certain times of the summer when our family is not using it so if additional space is needed please inquire.
