Situated alongside the banks of Kalsa River in Chanfi village (near Nainital), Soulitude, as the name suggests, provides complete solitude for the soul. Mesmerised by the singing glacial stream as it flows through the deep valley, one can’t help but enter … into the world of “Soulitude”. A working organic farm, emerald green rock pools and waterfalls, exciting treks in a pristine remote setting, good food and warm hospitality … Soulitude has just the right ambience for rest, relaxation and fun. The space Shant room is a part of a 70+ year old village home has been fully restored using traditional methods that were in use at that time, and with the addition of all modern comforts but without compromising the authenticity. Guest access Gusts will have full access to the common areas of the entire property. The lounge is perched on the banks of the river offering 360-degree skylights and provides a surreal experience at night. We also have a traditional Dhaba situated in the middle of the farm, with organic vegetables, dals (lentils), fruits and herbs growing around it. All Meals are served in village style Dining Room decorated with traditional artifacts, during the following timings which are strictly adhered to: Breakfast – 8am to 10:30 am Lunch 1pm – 3pm Dinner 8pm – 10 pm Though the Menus offered for the meals are fixed, we take extra care in planning them so that the guests are treated to a variety of tastes and cuisines. For your convenience, Tea and coffee making facilities are available in you room. Tea and coffee ordered from the kitchen are charged as per the À la carte menu. Other things to note Soulitude by the Riverside’s is at remote location. However, it is not suitable for people with accessibility issues or small children that are unable to comfortably undertake a 1.2 km (30 minute) trek to reach the property from the road-head. During rains, the alternate trek through the pine forests will entail a steep uphill climb for 30-45 minutes on the return journey. Please ensure prior to arrival that you have made arrangements with Soulitude to meet you at agreed designated points (below). You will not be able to reach the location without an escort. You are requested to again fine-tune your arrival time once you reach Kathgodam. Parking: Cars may be parked in the nearby village of Chanfi, in the compound of a local resident. The pickup/drop charges are to be paid by the guest directly to the local resident. All meals are served only in the dining room of the main house, during the following timings which are strictly adhered to: Breakfast – 8am to 10:30 am Lunch 1pm – 3pm Dinner 8pm – 10 pm The common areas of these premises are monitored by CCTV 24×7. We do not have driver or maid facilities at Soulitude.
