Charming Kreuzberg near Playground, Museums, Parks

Beautiful and bright two bedroom “altbau” apartment on a lovely quiet street in the heart of charming Kreuzberg a nice stroll to the immense Tempelhofer Feld airport turned public park, the sprawling Hasenheide Park, the canal, and many cafes and restaurants. The U7 metro/subway is right at the end of the street taking you to the Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie, Alexander Platz, and the Museum Island in 15 minutes. For kids there are numerous fun playgrounds with right next to our place. The space This is a large (96sqm/1000sqf) apartment with lots of charm and original details, great light, wood floors, and very high ceilings. It has two bedrooms, an eat in kitchen, and a spacious living room. The space is bright with warm sunshine in the kitchen in the morning and in the living room in the afternoon. It has a fully equipped kitchen with a nice table for meals. The kitchen gets great morning light and looks out onto a sports field which is especially pretty when lit at night. The master bedroom has a near king size bed and a small terrace from which you can survey the neighborhood. The second bedroom is large and has two single beds which are each big enough for one adult. This is our children's room so hopefully you like a youthful theme and access to match box cars:) In addition we have a comfortable double airbed (exped megamat 15 duo) that fits nicely in the children's room. In total, with the airbed, the apartment can sleep 6 adults. The living room is probably the nicest space in the house with lovely windows and a beautiful, big, comfy couch. It's a great place to have a tea or glass of wine in the afternoon as the sun pours in. The apartment has a modern full size fridge/freezer, gas stove top with electric oven, washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher. There is also a fast wireless internet connection throughout the apartment. The place has a great layout so you have a lot of space to spread out. You can tuck the kids away in the back bedroom and still enjoy evening time in the kitchen or bedroom without disturbing their sleep. The living room is adjacent to the children's room. The bathroom was relatively recently re-done with new tiles. Overall the apartment is in good condition but it is was built in the 1800's so can't compare with the fit and finish of a newly built place. The listing has no reviews but we have done a bunch of successful hosting in New York with another apartment and will make sure that the space is in great shape for you. Guest access You will have access to the entire space expect for a closet where we keep some of our stuff. Other things to note We are non-smokers and don't allow any smoking in the apartment (even on the terrace). The apartment is in a 4 story building with two apartments per floor so there isn’t a lot of foot traffic. It is on the third floor. The height makes it relatively quiet and of course gives it the nice light but if you don’t like climbing stairs then this place isn’t for you as there is no elevator.
