The Guest House at Sky Hollow

This quiet 120 acre hilltop house on an 1800's farm turned homestead offers high speed internet, hiking and mountain bike trails, a swimming pond, X-C ski, and sauna. Only miles from renowned New England ski resorts, and featuring 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, a full kitchen, an open floor plan, and a small backyard right beside a brook, the guest house is quiet and private, the perfect retreat for a cozy weekend with outdoor adventures and creature comforts! The space A comfortable home with books, games, a smart TV, high speed internet, outdoor access to farm property, sauna, miles of hiking and mountain bike (Ridgeline) trails, and nearby river and swimming holes make the Guest House an ideal couples or family getaway. A "loft" bedroom space adjacent to the main bedroom is a fun hang-out for kids of any age. The downstairs sofa pulls out to a queen sleeper. Details like goose down pillows, warm throw blankets, and a collection of books make this a cozy, home-like stay. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a gas stove and dishwasher. Laundry facilities are upstairs in the walk-in closet. Brochures and recommendations for local New England attractions and activities are provided. Dogs are welcome and must be leashed or under voice command at all times. A pet fee of $50 per pet for any length of stay is required (sorry, no cats/other pets). Any accident left behind by pets will result in a nonrefundable $200 cleaning fee. Please help us keep our home clean! ** Please be aware of road conditions during mud season (March-April) and winter! Sky Hollow Rd is STEEP! The town does an excellent job maintaining and plowing the road, but 4x4 and good winter tires are recommended. During winter and early spring rain, the road will ice over quickly - we strongly advise waiting for the town to sand the road before traveling it. *** Not quite what you're looking for? Guest access Guests have access to the entire home, including front and back decks. The basement/garage of the guest house holds the laundry facilities for all other buildings on Sky Hollow Farm. Owners will occasionally be in and out through the garage entrance to do laundry. There is a locking door at the top of the stairs to separate your space from the garage. The sauna, swimming pond, and walking trails are available to guests. Please avoid areas around other buildings on Sky Hollow to allow all guests their privacy. All barns and sheds are also private. Other things to note Your hosts have 2 golden retrievers (Kodak & Copper) - they are friendly and (usually!) well-behaved, but do bark and run to greet you, so please drive slowly and don't be alarmed! We also have a cat, pigs, cows, several free range chickens, and a friendly horse (Moose) who sometimes grazes in view of the house. Please be aware of electrified fencing (especially with small children!). Maple syrup and eggs offered for sale when available. Please consider that you may or may not have cell service during your stay - AT&T has good coverage, but Verizon is spotty...there is a nice rock on the mountain top where it works well!
