The space The Carriage House with its country chic interiors, boasts a generous sized space that parcels both modern luxury and traditional quality. Enjoy cooking and socialising in the bespoke dining kitchen, with its unique butcher’s block island and branded appliances. Incredibly well equipped with an abundance of cookware, crockery, and glassware, it is set for any occasion. There is an oak dining table in the kitchen that amply seats 6 guests. The living room warmly greets you with the crackle and glow from a log-burning stove, set within a traditional stone fireplace and surrounded by soft and sumptuous sofa seating. There is also a downstairs shower room, washer, and dryer. Sleeping up to 6 guests in three generous sized double ensuite bedrooms, you will enjoy the best of a night’s sleep on V Spring mattresses and under the finest of linens. With luxurious fabrics and a palette of lavender minks and muted neutrals they bring peace and calm after a day of discovery. The first-floor layout is as follows: Bedroom 1 – Super king size double, with ensuite bathroom featuring a bath. Bedroom 2 – King size double, with ensuite shower room Bedroom 3 - King size double, with ensuite shower room. The Carriage House garden offers a private patio area with a comfortable Teak table and chairs, and a view of the field beyond. There is ample off-road parking for 4 cars in its own stone courtyard, and there is also a small lockable shed which has space for bike storage. The pretty village of Ashford-in-the-Water is only a two-minute walk from the house, with its traditional and popular local pub, highly rated Rafters restaurant, and several charming tearooms. There is also a well-equipped village shop. Ideally located within a two-mile drive or a short walk along the River Wye, is the popular market town of Bakewell, famous for its Ye Olde Original Bakewell Puddings and boasting a collection of small independent shops, tea rooms, pubs, and restaurants. You are only five miles from Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall and the historic spa town of Buxton is just a twelve-minute drive. Straight from the doorstep there is an abundant network of scenic walks and cycle routes, so bring your bike or walking boots for great access to the countryside and the dramatic landscapes beyond. Only a five-minute stroll away is the Monsal Trail, which will take you in either direction to Bakewell or Buxton through the famous tunnels and to the Monsal Head Viaduct and past inviting cafes on the way.
