Other things to note IDENTITY DOCUMENT Upon arrival, each guest must show the host a valid ID, which is required for registration under Italian law. The host will enter each guest's details into the state police website for the payment of the tourist tax, which is required by law. TOURIST TAX The rates charged for the overnight stay DO NOT INCLUDE the tourist tax of €1.50 per person per night. Guests will pay the tourist tax in cash to the host at check-in. The following are exempt from paying the accommodation tax: minors under the age of 18, those over 75, guests staying for more than seven days (after the seventh night of stay). REFUSAL TO SHOW THE HOST AN IDENTITY DOCUMENT AT CHECK-IN AND FAILURE TO PAY THE TOURIST TAX AT CHECK-IN WILL RESULT IN THE IMMEDIATE CANCELLATION OF THE OVERNIGHT STAY AT THE HOST'S DISCRETION, WHO WILL NOTIFY AIRBNB AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
