Welcome to our beautiful 3 bedroom mountain chalet home, with an additional, separate, log cabin that can be rented for additional sleeping space when available. Located in beautiful Girdwood Alaska. Come enjoy our home and rustic Alaskan cabin. This is the 2nd and 3rd floors of our lovely 3 story Chalet home. The 1st floor is a separate apartment also available on Airbnb listed as Perfect Apartment, Or reserve the entire home, apartment and cabin listed as Wendy’s Girdwood Getaway. The space This is a 3 bedroom space located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of our 3 story home. The main level (2nd floor) has a beautiful great room with full kitchen, dining and living room all in one. There are large two-story windows looking directly at our majestic ski mountain and 4 magnificent glaciers (Best view in Girdwood!!). There are two bedrooms on this level. The 1st bedroom has a hanging twin bed, and a 2nd twin mattress. The 2nd bedroom has a comfortable Queen bed. There is a full bathroom with a tub on this level. The 3rd floor is exclusively the Master suite with a loft office/relaxing reading nook overlooking the main level. The Master suite has a wonderful King bed and single pull out bed. There is also a full master bath and tub. All of the bedrooms have blackout shades. You have shared access to the laundry room. The first floor is a separate one bedroom apartment that is also available to rent on Airbnb listed as Perfect Apartment. Next to the main house is a totally separate Alaskan log cabin/bunk house that sleeps 4 and can be rented when it’s available. In the cabin there is a king loft bed with ladder access and a double pull out couch. It’s an authentic Alaskan experience. There is a small private hot tub in the deck of the cabin available to everyone. This is a dry cabin, so there is no bathroom or running water inside. You will use the facilities in the main house which is only a few steps away. You can also rent the entire home including the apartment and log cabin on AirBnB listed as Wendy’s Girdwood Getaway. There is a big yard for kids to run and play, an outdoor fire pit if you would like to roast marshmallows, my (favorite kind of camping). This beautiful property is nestled in a cozy neighborhood at the base of Alyeska ski resort les than a mile from being loaded on chair 4! Here there are lovely homes with lovely neighbors. It is very safe. This is our home, we live here part time so it has everything you should need. Please be considerate of our personal possessions, and respectful of our other guests. Guest access You will have access to the entire 3 bedroom home on the 2nd and 3rd floors. There is a separate apartment on the first level that is also available on Airbnb. There is a shared laundry room inside the house, both units have separate locking security doors that access the laundry. The yard and hot tub are shared spaces when both units are occupied. Other things to note We have world-class dining. Foodies you have to eat it to believe it! You can get a #1 nationally ranked pepper steak at the Double Musky Inn featuring fresh local seafood with a Cajun flair and our own local wine sommelier. Sushi at Sakura in the Alyeska hotel. Farm to table dining at Jack Sprat and the Spoonline (my favorite!) The Bake Shop features fresh baked whole wheat sourdough bread, cinnamon rolls, breakfast, soups and sandwiches. All homemade and amazing. a local favorite. Then there is the Hightower pub, excellent local fare and best burger in town. To top it off we are home to the Girdwood Brewing co. featuring localy made hand crafted beers and a delightful tasting room. (I can almost see the brewery from my house). they have different food trucks and cozy fire pits, it’s pretty spectacular and where you’ll find us locals catching up in the evenings. But wait there’s more! If you’re feeling fancy, Seven Glaciers is at the top of the mountain. It’s a beautiful ride up the tram to get there. Our local haunts also include Chair 5, Coast Pizza and the Ice cream shop. I’m so hungry right now.
