This Log Cabin is an ideal retreat for quietly experiencing the beauty of southwest Wisconsin. It has a porch that puts you right in the middle of scenic bluffs and valley, a kitchen and living area, a full bath, a bedroom with a queen bed (main floor) and two twins in the loft. The Log Cabin at Quiet Valley Cabins is a private cabin on our family farm. A proven favorite get-away for couples, it's a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. There is a fire pit to roast marshmallows over, a porch to relax on, and a cozy LP fireplace indoors to curl up beside. You are welcome to stroll around the yard, enjoy the great outdoors, and walk down to Coon Creek that flows through our property. And if you are blessed with clear weather, we especially invite you to take note of the beautiful night sky. We live here on our farm, and we enjoy answering questions and visiting with you if you desire. Otherwise, we try to respect your privacy, but are on call if any situation should arise where you need assistance. Beautiful rural America in the driftless region of southwest Wisconsin! Just twelve miles from the Mississippi River, the bluffs with their rock points and cedar trees are beautiful anytime of the year. Winter adds the accent of snow, and with the leaves gone from the trees, the other features of the bluffs are more readily visible. Coon Valley is a wide valley, with the Coon Creek flowing through. The creek is spring fed, so it almost never freezes over. On cold winter mornings the hoar frost along the creek is beautiful! In the warmer months, it is green, green, green. Fields of hay, corn and soybeans, along with pastures for cattle, sheep and horses compliment the hillsides covered with trees. We are located 12 miles from the south end of La Crosse, WI, which has a regional airport, Amtrak station, and Interstate 90 access. There is a charcoal grill provided for the Log Cabin.
