Ample parking and large yard, as well as a field, woods and fruit trees. The setting is rural and the tree hedge is still growing so you can see the neighboring property 300 feet away; the cabin is cozy and clean and a great location for exploring the great outdoors. We have snow shoes you can borrow upon request and good maps of the area. Bellingham, known for its mountain biking, biking trails and beer culture, is just 15 minutes west and WWU is an easy trip to see your favorite student. Only two miles from the Deming Logging Show Grounds so it's a great alternative to camping. This is also a great area for river rafting and fishing, water skiing and snow skiing. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions. Guest access You'll have full access to this private cabin. The living space is on two floors and is relatively child friendly. We provide a travel cot and can provide children's toys, books and DVDs upon request. Other things to note To give you an overview, the cabin sits on about an acre made up of a mixture of grassland and woods, there is an industrial yard with some equipment about 300 feet away across a little grass field to the South. There are woods to the north and west and open views across a grass field to the mountains in the East. Here is a copy of the details you will find when you check in: Welcome to the Doll House! We are delighted you have chosen us, over all the options available, and we hope you will be satisfied in every way. Everything in the cabin is all for your enjoyment while you are staying with us, but not intended for you to take home. We are better at communicating through texting than the Airbnb app so please contact us if you need anything at all. Wifi password is located in the kitchen. Sofabed: The sheets are under the chaise lounge section of the sofabed. You just pull up at the bottom to reveal the storage area. There is a mattress pad, bottom sheet, top sheet, comforter, pillows and cases. To make out the bed gently pull on the handles at the front of the main sofa and then raise. This is also a great way to kick back and watch TV! Bunk Room: We open the bunk room for groups of more than two. If you were counting on using it, please just let us know and we will be happy to make it available. Heating: Downstairs the fireplace is controlled by the thermostat near the kitchen; upstairs there is a remote for the heat pump and a thermostat for the radiant floor heating in the bathroom. All are simply controlled with up arrow for warmer, down for cooler. Shower: The shower has its issues! It tends to leak from the door if water is aimed in its direction and the glass gets water stains if left wet. Please squeegee the shower after each use to keep the glass looking clear and please use the spare old towel in the cabinet to catch any water that may leave through the door. Please do not place any towels or bathmats on the glass doors as this can warp the glass. The glass walls are unsupported and not weight bearing, so please do not lean on them. Hot Water: The hot water is produced on demand so there may be a short delay before the water turns warm, but it will! Outdoor Area: Feel free to enjoy the hot tub, fire pit and BBQ. If the gas tank runs out please let us know so we can replace it. Some firewood is provided but if you want more there are places around that sell bundles for $5 each. House Rules: Please no oil-based skin or hair products or oily food in the beds. We provide Five Star sheets (Comphy) and we aim to keep your sleeping experience luxurious. If you stain the sheets, you will be billed for them. If you are concerned about this, please request a set of ordinary sheets to use for your stay, or feel free to bring your own. How to Leave the Doll House: Bedding: Please remove the sheets you’ve slept in and leave them on the floor. Towels: Please leave used towels on the floor Kitchen: Please load and run the dishwasher (tablets are under the kitchen sink) Recycling: There is a recycling bucket on the deck Fridge: No need to clean out the fridge as we do it each time. We also compost and give scraps to our chickens. If you break something, please leave us a note so we can replace it for the next guests If you leave something behind and would like us to mail it to you, just let us know Enjoy!
