The concept of this apartment was born from your host’s passion: Surfing!! Present in the lobby ceiling you will even enjoy a vintage surfboard! Using carefully selected furnishings, reminding us of nature paired with contemporary elements, we created an explosion of colour in the living room. The space SURFBOARD APARTMENT - BY MAYORAL is located in central in Alfama. It was in this neighborhood where traditional Portuguese Fado music was born. In terms of both architecture and landscaping, Alfama is where you will find some of the most beautiful sights! Especially many old buildings by the Tagus River! This apartment is located just 100 meters from the Tagus River, near subway/metro stations (Terreiro do Paço and Santa Apolónia), and close to bus and tram lines #15 and #28. Parking is also available. From this vantage point, it is easy to move around the city while enjoying the most important monuments, the best restaurants, wonderful shopping areas and the coolest nightlife. From the SURFBOARD APARTMENT - BY ACA it is possible to walk for example to the Castle of Lisbon (São Jorge), Praça do Comércio/Terreiro do Paço, Casa dos Bicos (Fundação Saramago), Fado Museum, Lisbon Pantheon, Military Museum, Santa Apolónia Station, Chafariz D´el Rey, Lisbon Cathedral and of course Lisbon downtown. Have you strolled through the alleys and small streets of Alfama? Have you sat in a traditional House of Fado and listened to a singer? Have you enjoyed a fine glass of wine while eating grilled sardines? Until you do all these things, you won’t have captured the true spirit and timeless magic that beautiful Lisbon has to offer!
