Stunning beachside views over the Solway Firth

Once part of an early Victorian terrace, Clearviews has retained its traditional charm with views in all directions across the Solway Firth to the northern Lake District mountains and nearby Criffel hill. The guest room within our home, is on the first floor and has uninterrupted views towards the beach. The room has a king size + bed, which can also be configured as twin beds. There is an ensuite shower room, pull up table and comfy seating. Short-Term Lets Licence Number DG01194F The space The location makes Clearviews a very special place to live and visit. Our front garden has direct access to the beach and guests are welcome to use this space during their stay. There is a cosy beach hut, table and seating and BBQ facilities making it a lovely place to eat al fresco and admire the views at any time of the day. The Steamboat Inn is a very short walk away and serves pub food and take aways. You may need to book for meals but can have a drink in the beer garden or the cozy bar if the weather is inclement. Guest access Our guest accommodation comprises the bedroom and ensuite. We provide breakfast to guests in their room, which is cereal, fruit juice, toast and preserves with a cooked option also available. A kettle, microwave, mini fridge and crockery are provided and guests are welcome to bring in their own food. We have secure facilities for bicycles and space for drying outdoor boots and clothing. During your stay We enjoy meeting new people and are happy to chat about places to visit and things to do in the area. We are also respectful of our guests privacy and once settled in are happy for you to come and go as you please. Guests have a key for their bedroom and the front door and if we are not around, we are contactable on our mobiles. Other things to note Carsethorn is a small village and does not have a shop. The nearest shops are in New Abbey, Southerness (in season) or Colvend- all about a 15 minute drive. There is a regular bus service that runs from outside the pub to Dumfries and Southerness and Dalbeattie via Colvend.
