Idyllic Beach House - garden & direct beach access

Overlooking the Cape of Good Hope, Emerald Bay is the perfect place to stay for your visit to the Cape area of South Africa. Situated on False Bay near Strand and Somerset-West, Emerald Bay is part of the Greenways Country Estate, with 9-hole golf course, swimming pools & tennis courts. Emerald Bay, with its lush surroundings, offers an atmosphere of relaxation & plenty of opportunity for recreation. There are spectacular mountain views of the Hottentots and the Cape, and captivating sea views. The space Tamarind Our delightful beach house will sleep up to four people. A short walk of thirty metres, through the garden and sand dunes will bring you to the wonderful five-kilometre long sandy beach. Emerald Bay & the Greenways Estate is the ONLY place in Strand (and most of the Cape) to have direct beach access, with no road in front of the house. Accommodation comprises of two bedrooms and two bath/shower rooms. The Master bedroom can either be a king-size double or twin beds and there is an en-suite bathroom with bath, separate shower, WC and wash basin. The Master Bedroom has large wardrobes, bedside tables and lamps, and a chair. The second bedroom is a twin bedroom with wardrobes and an antique bedside cabinet. There is a shower room just across the hall, with shower, WC and wash basin. The open plan living area has a fully equipped kitchen with large fridge-freezer, Bosch dishwasher, induction hob, oven, microwave, and kettle. There is also an iron and ironing board. The dining area seats six around a glass table. In the seating area there are two sofas, a chair, book case, chest of drawers (with games etc) and a TV (Open View HD with 16 channels) and DVD player. Outside is a patio and private garden which leads directly to the beach. There is a wooden bench and also a dining table with six chairs. There is a covered parking area (with designated parking) next to the house, and a communal swimming pool, braaid and garden to the rear of the property. All bed linen, duvets, pillows and bath towels are provided, although you will need to bring your own beach towels. A cleaner will clean at the end of your stay, however, we can also arrange for this mid-stay if desired (at extra cost). There is a private communal laundry (that is little used by others) just 20 metres from the house, in the parking area. Guest access The whole cabana is exclusively yours for your stay. Other things to note Electricity is extra as we have a pre-pay meter. You will need to purchase units to top up, although there will be some electricity for your arrival and first few days. Around R150 should be enough for a week, depending on how much you use. There is also a charge of R80 (payable locally on arrival) for an access pass to the estate.
