Bushy Summers - A Nurturing Bayside Shack

As featured in Country Style Magazine, Galah Magazine, Love Shacks & Boutique Homes. Bushy Summers sits on the edge of Lettes Bay amongst neighbouring historic miner’s shacks. It is the most private shack in the bay and was lovingly restored in 2018 By Matthew & Claire using both sourced and up-cycled materials. The essence of the shack is simple, light & cosy with attention to details & stunning water views. This is truly a magical place, the perfect retreat for one to two people. The space Feel nurtured at Bushy Summers, the perfect place to completely relax & be at one in nature. The Bushy bedroom has a comfortable double, cast iron bed & is topped with beautiful, luxe, flax linen bedding. The bedroom has a large internal, picture window with a view through the living area and out over the bay. No need to hurry out of bed as you can still watch the bay as it slowly wakes up. From the bedroom you enter the bathroom through our iconic blue, carved, wooden doors. Enjoy soaking in our cast iron, claw foot bath, just lay back and watch the tops of the gum trees through the window as they sway across the sky. Bushy has a fully equipped kitchen, ideal for those who don’t want to leave the peace of the bay. You can enjoy your meals looking out through the large window which frames the water view perfectly. There is a cosy day bed to curl up on with a cup of tea and a good book, when you feel like staying put. Anytime, night or day, sit outside on our deck, listen to the birdsong, feed the ducks, breath in the fresh clean Tassie air and watch the ever changing skies. Guest access Guests can enjoy the whole cabin and wander around the other shacks and the communal grounds of Lettes Bay. Bushy Summers sits tucked away at the end of the bay which makes it the most private of all the shacks. Guest parking, is communal, for all guests visiting the bay and situated 25 meters across the road, next to the Captains Rest sign. Other things to note There is no freestanding shower - bath only and no TV. Bushy has a very comfortable double bed. We are located at the top of a culdesac and have shutters for extra privacy. Guest parking is not on site, however, it is available 25 meters away on the opposite side of the road and is for all guests visiting the bay. It is situated next to the Captains Rest sign. Bushy Summers may not suit guests with mobility issues because parking is not on site, we have a freestanding bath and there are 4 steps leading up to the front door of our cabin. Please note sometimes phone coverage can be limited. Telstra is the most reliable mobile service. We do have Wi-Fi in the shack but you will need to have all your essential information printed out when you are on the road. The weather can be a little wild in winter and very occasionally the roads can affected, so if in doubt please check. It may be a good idea to consider travel insurance in case you need to cancel at short notice. Registration Details DA2020/16
