Description

Studio style guest house set on a 22 acre vintage Vermont farm. You be able to enjoy some of the originality of gardeners quarters together with the renovated and updated space. The bungalow consists of two rooms plus bath, a bedroom with double bed and a kitchenette/sitting area. Kitchenette is equipped with microwave, refrigerator, toaster oven,griddle and complimentary coffee, tea and coco. Out back a Vermont white marble veranda , seating and grill. Shower in bath, complimentary shampoo The space The space is newly renovated, but it was originally used as housing for seasonal gardeners quarters for the property. The property was once owned by the nephew of Robert Frost , the poet and visited many times in his later years .Some of the originality of the space has been kept intact. It is a small space but has what you need for a stay .Most all the artwork in the suite has been painted by host Amy Cloud depicting her chickens and the whimsy of life on a farm. There is a tv with Netflix and Hulu . In summer there are 2 bikes available for your use and a gas grill on back porch also for your use. And always fresh eggs available in refrigerator to take or use when you are here. Bath has only a shower but shampoo, body wash is provided. I have some face cream and lip balm that is made right here on the farm that is also provided and for you to take home with you. The studio unit is private but adjacent to another unit . Parking is in front of door . In summer there are many things keep you occupied, swimming is near by Lake Paren is within walking distance , the Arlington cover bridge swimming hole is a short distance, and the local’s favorite the marble quarries , a must see even if you don’t want to swim is also close. There are also 3 other covered bridges with in a mile to photograph. Hiking trails are also plentiful, from the famous Long trail to the mile walk around 2 blocks away at the historic Park McCullough House. All are dog friendly as the they are also welcome here. With only a $10 charge per nite collected at arrival .The music venue at Mass MOCA is also close . Canoeing and kayaking down the Battenkill River or fly fishing is also on the list of things to do. Winter brings skiing at 2 areas within 45 min. Away at Bromley Mt or Stratton. Snowmobiling on the VAST trail is also local and there is plenty of parking here for trailers if you need. Also available is the barn for rent for special events from graduations to small weddings (50-125) just message for details and price. Guest access Space is a private unit on a small farm, the unit is adjacent to a carriage unit next door. there is a covered porch out the back door with seating and grilling . Plenty of free range chickens that come to visit. Other things to note It is a very casual and friendly setting, if you looking for any fishing, hunting, hiking , skiing , swimming tips we can always direct you to the right direction. Also all doors are equipped with locks for guests if they feel the need to lock, however all of the perminate residents have never felt the need to use. We consider it a perk of living here in Vermont.
