Description
Between '33 -'38, a 13 mile tunnel was chiseled into the hard rock of our mountain, bringing Colorado River water to the West. When the San Jacinto Tunnel was finished, original railroad ties were scavenged, brought to Idyllwild, and used to construct this epic historic cabin full of rustic charm. Giant river rock fireplace, original live edge cedar cabinetry, wood floors, private deck & Shasta Trailer extra bedroom. Details include Pendleton Blankets, Down Comforters, Malin Goetz, etc. The space Cabin has a sleeping loft upstairs with a King bed and downstairs full pull-out sofa, Cedar ceiling and walls, living room and kitchen downstairs, TV with full HBO movie package, private parking/ driveway, private patio w BBQ, several outdoor seating areas. While sanding out the original fir floors, we found an LA Times from March 28, 1942 glued to the boards under old linoleum, letting us know when this cabin was finished. Allow this magical cabin to bring you back to a slower, simpler time as you commune with nature in our beautiful mountain town! We are Dog Friendly! $35.00 per night extra charge for your pet. :-) Guest access Private 1/2 acre Other things to note We do allow dogs, but there is a $35 fee per night. Please call the hotel prior to your reservation to settle the payment. Thank you!
