Villa Posidonia Oceanica is located in Skinopi beach (Σκινωπή), one of Milos most picturesque fishermen settlements, at the entrance of the bay. The villa offers the luxury of peace and quite at an original authentic local escape. Villa Posidonia Oceanica is newly refurbished and designed to offer guests the true Greek island vacation experience. This seaside villa is based on the traditional architecture of the Cyclades and is ideal for families and groups of friends. The space Skinopi (Σκινωπή) is close to the place where used to be the main mines of the famous Obsidian, a black color glass-like volcanic rock found on the island, were situated. Walking around one may find and admire the black rocks, famous for their use throughout history. For those who love history, Obsidian from Milos was a commodity as early as 15,000 years ago. People were using it as a tool, weapon etc. Guest access Arriving at Skinopi (Σκινωπή), the villa has a private parking area. Guests have full access to the house, (a private veranda, a wonderful sea and mountain view terrace and of course the beach in front of the house where you can swim, sunbathe and relax. The barbecue area and the stone corner table area may be shared with guests of the house rented right next to the Villa. Skinopi is a very quite summer village and all should respect typical siesta quite hours:14:30-17:30 were loud noise should be limited indoors. **there is a stiff dirtroad for the last 10min before reaching the house so a 4x4 car will be high recommended! Other things to note The seaweed (Posidonia Oceanica) that grows in the Mediterranean sea just in front of the villa, is the inspiration behind its name. The seaweed existence is the strong and best evidence of the water purity, and the amount of the ribbon shape leafs of at the coast depends on the wind direction. Although the house has a beach in front of it, the beach is not private. The beach can be used by other tourists visiting the beach. We provide freely for use 2 SUP boards in the sea.
