Wine Country Farm Stay; Retro Glamping! 501c3
Description
Close to town, all major wineries, and Galway Downs horse showgrounds, Namaste Farms is an authentic working sheep farm located in the heart of Temecula's wine country. You'll find farm stay glamping in this 2015 reproduction vintage Airflyte trailer affords you the necessary comforts while allowing you to enjoy all Temecula has to offer. Hammie fits 2 perfectly, but will squeeze 3. Not interested in glamping? Try one of our upscale cottages! 501c3 The space Know, you are supporting a 501c3, and being here is an educational experience. We love to share our farm with guests and are so happy you’re here to relax, learn and enjoy! Namaste Farms is a true working farm with copious amounts of sheep, goats, chickens, peafowl, and countless other animals. Along with those, we have free range squirrels, rabbits, flies, dust and yes, even free range spiders. If you're wanting a rustic experience that gives you a break from city life and you can handle dust, dirt, cobwebs (and these can happen over night inside your cottage and WILL be in the common areas), with sounds of animals vocalizing at all hours of the day and night, then Namaste Farms is a perfect fit for you. While most guests (and your hosts) see the idiosyncrasies and obvious cohabitation with animals and bugs beautiful, you may not. If your primary focus is on amenities, and you're looking for a completely dust/dirt, cobweb/bug, and animal/animal sound free experience, a working farm is probably not a good fit for you. Also, since many people don't read past this paragraph, know that Hammie is amazingly cute, and it is small; It has a bathroom shower combo (they are in the same compartment and tiny). Hammie will fit 3 tightly, but many people do it. There is a queen bed and we can make up a twin in the back. That said, with 3, you won't have much room for luggage etc... but many people happily rent it for 3! Please make sure you put the accurate number of guests when you reserve and tell us if you need the extra bed. We're super dog friendly but to keep our free range animals safe (and we have had them injured or killed by people not recognizing that dogs are predatory by nature), please keep your dog easily under control and on a short leash at all times. Also, because it's not possible to control your dog on a long line, dogs may NOT be tied or tethered anywhere on the property. For the sake of Hammie's interior, do not leave your dog alone in the cottage unless they are crate trained and in a crate. If you need to leave your NON-barking dog here, occasionally we have a bedded stall we put your four legged friend in. Also, If you want to let your dog off leash, about 2 blocks down the dirt road (off property), there is a large scrub field where you can let your dog run free. Thank you, and know, you're supporting a 501c3 charity and all the revenue goes to support the animals. Affectionately known as "canned ham" trailers, this Airflyte is a new version of a very popular vintage Shasta travel trailer. Decorated with a retro feel and upscale linens, this "Hammie" sports a queen size bed, with a pull-out twin (if needed), a tiny combination bathroom/shower situated inside the trailer, kitchenette with cooktop, air-conditioner/heat, TV, BBQ, high speed internet and more. "Hammie" has its' own deck, charcoal bbq, with unfettered access to all the farm has to offer. Now for the particulars about the facility... Please keep in mind that we are not a "pretend farm" set up so that we can simply attract people to our facility. This is an actual working farm where shepherdess, Natalie Redding (Nat Geo Wild's, Shear Madness) and her working dogs, Lacey, Lad and Nesta work every day. This means there is dirt, dust, chickens, peacocks, alfalfa, sheep, bugs, and other living beings associated with nature and farm life. Farm life comes complete with an orchestra of animal sounds, especially when feeding. You'll hear whinneys from horses, buggling from Lucy the mini cow, baaaa-ing of goats, and maaaa-ing of sheep. We'd be re-missed not to include the crowing of roosters, peafowl, and guinea hens who never fail to complete the farm sound chorus. While Namaste Farms is only 1/2 a mile from the city limits, it has a rural feel and is centrally located to all wineries and most of the major equestrian facilities including Galway Downs, Green Acres, and Casner Ranch. For those who are coming to Temecula for horse shows, we also have a large barn with bedded stalls and turnouts (for an additional fee). There are designated horse trails right outside our gates which will even take you to Galway Downs. If you're into golf, you can enjoy Temecula's 7 PGA golf courses or Pechanga Casino which are also within a short driving distance to the farm. If horses or golf isn't your thing, you can visit Temecula Valley wineries which are all within 1/2-3.8 miles of the cottage gates. The wineries are not within walking distance of each other, and if you want to peruse all of them, we can arrange a driver for you (28.00/hour) who will drive (Audi or Mercedes) and take you anywhere within Temecula/Murrieta while happily waiting for you so you can quickly go to your next destination. If you're not interested in any of the above activities and simply want a "staycation," you can hang out here where you're welcomed to walk around the farm and interact with the animals. At night, enjoy the sounds of serenity (which includes farm animal vocalizations) while roasting marshmallows at our wine barrel fire pit! We encourage guests to feel at home and enjoy the peaceful farm environment which extends beyond the cottage. As mentioned, if glamping isn't your thing, try one of our two upscale cottages. If you want to try glamping again, you can also check out our elaborate Treehouse. If you're interested in an Airbnb Farm Experience to learn about life on a working sheep farm, you can go to Airbnb Experience and look for Namaste Farms Farm Tour. We welcome you and hope you choose to stay with us. Please check out our Working Sheepdog Experience or Namaste Farms Working Sheep Farm Experience, we can schedule a time if one doesn’t work for you! Guest access You have free access to our farm and can interact with the animals. We encourage you to bring fresh corn or carrots to feed the sheep, cow and horses! Other things to note You do have a short trip down a dirt road. The road, while hard packed and maintained is bumpy. Because this is a farm, there is plenty of dirt and dust. As with any working farm, our facility is not paved. Please plan on your shoes being dusty... Also, if you're booking for yourself and other guests, PLEASE let them read the description before booking. While you may love the idea of coming to a farm with dirt, animals and bugs, others may not. Simply explaining to family members or friends that you're "so excited" to have booked a farm isn't enough to make them fully understand what "a farm " means. While those accompanying you may be excited to come here based on your level of enthusiasm, the reality of a working farm may simply be too primitive for them. To insure an enjoyable experience, share this link and get approval from co-guests first.
