Every room has a scenic view into the woods where deer frolic and often come up to the house. Our goal is to give you the tree house experience but with a touch of luxury. The wraparound deck is a great place to do yoga or do nothing. Sit out on the cushioned sectional with a glass of wine and a book and a warm cozy throw blanket. You can go for a hike in the woods or simply explore the neighborhood. Cliffs that drop into the lake are a few minutes' walk from the house and you can smell the fresh lake air from the deck. We love rainy days at the treehouse when we can pull out the portable scrabble game provided. There are also lots of books and current magazines provided, as well as several movie channels. The Lakeway Tree House has deadbolt locks and an outside video camera to ensure your security. Our home is a safe space for folks from all backgrounds, including minority and marginalized groups. We welcome guests of all races, faiths, genders, and sexual orientations. You will have access to the entire home. Explore around the property, the green belt behind the house leads down to a cliff dropping into Lake Travis. The home is also walking distance to the Lakeway Marina as well as the Lakeway Resort & Spa, which has a pool with a pool side bar (seasonal), hot tub, and restaurant. They often allow non hotel guests to purchase day passes, but please check with them in advance. In the winter, relax on cozy stuffed cushions by the fireplace on the 2nd floor while watching the deer gather below. We are available and happy to assist during your stay but completely respect your privacy. Home is located on a greenbelt in "old Lakeway" within walking distance to Lakeway Marina and Lakeway Resort & Spa, and the Lakeway airport. The neighborhood is great for hiking up and down the hilly streets or through the woods down to the cliffs overlooking Lake Travis. Easy access to lots of attractions, including the town of Wimberley with it's vintage heritage and charm, Hamilton Pool and grotto, the amazing dome of an underground river formed thousands of years ago, or you can take in the culture of music and food in downtown Austin, about a 25 minute drive from the house. Not far up 620 is the Arboretum Mall, an outdoor mall with a cinema and shops and restaurants to please everyone in the family. And each fun filled day can conclude with a good night's sleep in a clean comfortable bed. Every room has a peaceful view into the woods. Circle drive in front of home for those with boats - The semi-circle can accommodate an SUV and a trailer or 3 SUVs. Additional parking 'down the hill' in the carport below. The marina and the resort are walking distance, but some guests bring golf carts to get around the neighborhood. There are plenty of stores and restaurants, as well as a library, a short drive from the house. City of Lakeway Permit ensures you will not have your vacation unexpectedly cut short due to city regulations.
